    Red Wings Collectors DVD

I don't understand why people are putting up a stink over having the games they lost in this set. It was part of the series, even if the Wings didn't prevail, it doesn't mean the games aren't worth watching, especially game 5 which left me numb and I lost 2 nights of sleep over.

Who would you want Wings to beat?

R1- Chicago- Letting them know who is still boss in the division. R2- Anaheim- Giving them an early playoff exit to prove they don't belong. R3- San Jose- Leaving them just short, again. SCF- Philadelphia- Because I hate the Flyers and I'd love to take this from them.

    Our Playoff Beards

Question about the beard... I noticed some of the players beards look pretty groomed, are we allowed to clean these things up? I haven't shaved in two months and it's fortunate I'm already married or I'd be f***ed. I just wonder because I seriously look ridiculous right now and I've got an event on Thursday that I need to look somewhat respectable for... let's hope they put the Pens away tonight and I don't have to worry about it. Go Wings! And go those who actually stuck with their beards throughout the playoffs!

SCF Game 5 GDT: Penguins 4, Red Wings 3 (3OT)

Seriously, it's the end of the first and Wings aren't playing their game. They're an experienced, veteran group and can make adjustments. Keep in mind, it's not completely unreasonable that they score 2 goals as quick as Pittsburgh did. Let's get a quick one out of the intermission. And like I've told myself all along, they have 3 chances (2 at home) to win 1 game. If they can't put them away, they honestly don't deserve to win. Let's wake up and play Wings hockey. KEEP THE FAITH Signed, the resident Negative Nancy.

    Your first/favorite Red Wings Item

First item- A blank red Starter jersey that I got during the '95-'96 season, I still wear it when I play roller hockey. Favorite item(s)- I have a framed autographed Yzerman jersey and a Synergy stick auto'd by Yzerman that I got from my work, and a Limited Edition 2002 USA Synergy stick that I got autographed by Cheli in person in Salt Lake in '02. . . Other stuff- I have rookie and game used memorabilia cards for most everyone who joined the team since the early ninetees, Yzerman and Datsyuk RC's, I have all of the McFarlanes except the Gordie Howe that I can't seem to find and the Datsyuk All Star jersey i'll be getting in the mail in a couple weeks.

    Do you play hockey?

When I was younger, I always had a fascination with hockey, but there was no way we could afford to play. When I got into Junior High, me and a large group of my friends got together and played street hockey for hours after school for about three days a week. When I was 14, a roller/dekhockey rink opened up. It was a tough start... I was on a team with a bunch of kids who had never played together and had minimal skills. I felt lke District 5 on the Mighty Ducks... we even lost a game 35-0. Through the years I played on good teams and some of the laughing stocks and put togeter a 50+ point season (11 game) season which was easily a personal best. I've played roller hockey on and off for the last 15 years. The local roller hockey rink closed down last year so my only option was to get on the ice. I've recently got "hockey fever," so I started researching some of the local leagues around here. I found a developmental program here called World League. Basically, it's like a drop in session that you play with the same group of people each week. At the start of the week, the manager randomly divides the teams up to white/dark so you play with the same group but on a different team each week. Some of the players are better than others, but everyone is pretty patient with each others skill level. I've only been into it for a couple weeks now, but I'm enjoying it. Once I get more comfortable of the ice I want to find a lower adult league to get into. It's something that I feel I want to stick with... and hell, I'd be stupid not to, I work for Easton so I'm the best dressed person out there... it's unfortunate that my skill level doesn't match what my equipment leads on It's good to hear about everyones experiences and stories.

    Forsberg to the Wings?

He's one of those players you hate until he's on your team, and I personally hate him, but I'd take him if we didn't have to pay an arm and a leg to get him. He's a seasoned veteren who can help bring leadership... This is from ESPN Insider today: Red Wings make push for Forsberg Jul 30 - Red Wings GM Ken Holland has told C Peter Forsberg's agent, Don Baizley, that the club is interested in signing the often-injured superstar as a free agent, according to the Detroit Free Press. According to the Denver Post earlier this month, Forsberg told a Swedish newspaper that his surgically repaired right ankle feels good and that a number of teams have shown interested in signing the unrestricted free agent. Forsberg, who made $5.75M last season, had expressed an interest in returning to the Avalanche. The Avs have about the same amount of money remaining to spend [$4M to $6M] under the salary cap, according to the Free Press, but Forsberg might be careful not to offend Colorado fans by signing with arch-rivall Detroit.
