If that is the case then I agree it was a bad choice.

I second that motion

It's good for Brygalov he is getting off the Ducks, he will be the starter in Phoenix no doubt and get out of Giggy's shadow.

Have a youtube link?

I was responding to your point that not alot of people who live in southern states paid that much attention to it. I will watch whoever is playing, but I do think that the south is not the best place to look at growing the sport. Let us face it in the south and primarily Texas: Football is king. There is no way around it. Does it get the NHL more viewers, when there are teams in the south? I would be willing to bet it did. However, my comments earlier were in response to the comment of people rooting for home town teams only, and the south was the region that you pointed out.

Yeah, but it also goes to show what I have firmly beleived for a long time, "Hockey doesn't belong in a place where it doesn't snow." Although, Star and Shark fans are pretty rabid about their teams...

Well with hockey being in the state that it's in, and the fact that I plain out love the sport...I watch whatever team is playing on tv. Some is better than none.

New NHL schedule format for 2008-2009 season

I was always wondering why we didn't do this earlier...needless to say I'm excited. -
Well I question his skill when you look at his pad size, in past posts about pad size I have expressed this view: When you can stand there and barley move at all, and stop the puck it really doesnt constitute skill. It also doesn't help I have never liked him...or Brodeur for that matter.

Hasek is just amazing. That man could play until he was 60 and he would still be better than alot of goalies out there, (Jiggy I'm looking at you.)

Dumb, they just look dumb...

http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/7194060 If you don't want to read it, he played on a line with Howe and Lindsay after Able left. I know it's been a while, but I just love the history of the game and reading up on the old players.

Still if I were in his shoes, I would rather see Penner stay than bring in Bert. It is true I would have wanted to see Bert stay a Wing, and you may think that I am sore for losing him but, if the choice is between the two I say you go with youth. Let alone promising youth.

Say what you will about the man, I still think Emerick has one of if not the best voices for Hockey play by play. -

What cheating goes on in the NHL, according to Sports Illustrated
Gordie Howe hat trick replied to CenterIce's topic in General
I do know there is some form of testing in the NHL, if I remember correctly one guy got suspended for doping for a while last season. I also agree about the sun belt cups...really wierd isn't it? -
The fact of the matter is Gordie Howe is a legend. I was recently talkign to one of my buddies at school, and we think that him playing that one shift was quite possibly the coolest, and most dedicated thing that any athlete has ever done for his sport. Not 6 deckades of hockey my ass, Michael Jordan was a joke on the baseball field, but people still consider him as having a career in that. My buddy and I further said that he should come back for one more shift and make it 7 decades, in both of our opinions it should be against phoenix because, if anyone touched him...even the great one would kill him even if it was his own player... Why didn't I think of that...oh wait...he is the greatest there ever was...we can't speak bad of him. I hate Bett Hull

How did I miss that we are playing the Habs too? That Caps game should be entertaining as well...I also think that the Canuck game will be one to see excellent goaltending on both sides.
-
Does it or does it not say that we play the Leaves? How can we not be lookig forward to that one. Sure they have sucked recently, but it is still a great rivalry.

I know the more I think about Rafalski putting on the wheel, the more excited I get to see our D next season. I think as per usual it will be top notch, but better than before. In my opinion Rafalski>Schneider.

Official: Hasek signs 1-year deal
Gordie Howe hat trick replied to HockeyCrazy3033's topic in General
I was really hoping they would hammer out a deal a bit earlier, but whatever the dominator is back! Like I said in some previous posts...this made my summer. -
Happy Steve Yzerman Retirement Anniversary
Gordie Howe hat trick replied to Yzerfan1999's topic in General
Saddest birthday I ever think I had was a year ago...but thanks for everything Steve. -
The only problem with Kozzie is, like most of out players he is getting up there. I think that our incredible scouting staff should find us some more young Europeans to bring over. But, until then Kozzie I think has enough gas in the tank to help us out, in bringing some of our guys out into the NHL like say...Hudler? But I'm thinking that he isn't going to be sticking around which is too bad because I really think he has potential.

I have always hated the Ducks. Always. I think the only player on their team that is worthy of anyting is Selanne, but are we rivals? No. When I first heard about Matty and Bert I was a bit upset...then I realized Kenny has a plan I'm sure, and we won't be falling out of playoff contention over those two guys. But, just because I hate the "Disney Ducks" if you will doesn't mean enough of us do nor does it mean we will be rivals just over my opinion.

You can buy the Stanley Cup for $250

It would be cooler if it had the names on it.
