I dont like them because of how dirty they do play, but in correlation with this quote, let us face it Nashville TN does not need a hockey team. I honestly beleive that it doesn't intrest enough people in that area, and even if they do win a cup in the next two or three years do I think they will develop a grand following. I just don't see it happening.

You are right, not to open a new can of worms, but that correlation is more about supply and enelastic markets with the milk...and bombs being dropped on places with the other.

So my favorite goalie of all time is back! This made my offseason! And like that quote we were talking about earlier, he just loves to play, granted he made more last season than I will ever see in my life. However, the love of the game brings him back that's awsome.

I find since Roy and "The Other Lemeiux" have retired the Avs are much more tolerable than the Ducks. Look at Corey Perry trying to be just like Claude, and it seems Chris Pronger may be the second coming of Claude. I think of all the players on the Ducks, Selanne is the classyest and was really the only one deserving of the cup.

Yeah I think that it would be awesome too, I went to the one that we lost in overtime at the United Center this year with my dad who is a Hawks fan, and I thought that there would be maybe 75% Hawk fans there, but we embarresed them in their own home i want to say it was more like 60-40, but my dad did say this which made me chuckle, "What do you expect? Chicago is practically western Michigan." We are so close to one another, and it's an original six rivalry? How can you get better than that? (I know the Leafs fall in this category too.) I also notice this thread has taken an odd turn too...

I was really right on with all my picks that I had with some buddies back at school...but the Canucks screwed me over when they lost to the Ducks...

You know they did get the first pick...and I suspect that they are going to stop putting so much stock into Aucoin so they mey be able to win a few more this year, and maybe we won't almost sweep em' either

Is it just me or was he an absolute wall in some of the games in the finals? I mean game two he got shelled all night and only broke once. Or even tonight he was unstopable in the second period for a while. I guess what this is coming down to is this: I haven't seen Emery play in too many games and I was impressed with what I saw, the wheels clearly came off of the Sens' scoring line and their offence in general. But was this preformance by Emery uncharicteristic? Or does he play this well all the time?

So basically he has been playing this well all year? Like I said I haven't seen too many Sens games.

I must say that I went to a Blackhawk/Wing game this year, and I was very dissipointed that at the United Center they had the Canadian flag but neglected to sing "O Canada." Every AHL game I have been to starts with both anthems being sung. I like "O Canada" and am proud to know all the words. I think it should be sung at every hockey game, it is their natonal sport after all, and they are in the NHL it would just be respectful if you ask me.

Oh it is clar why that rule is in effect, and I agree with it totally. However I could also see how they ruled that goal a non kicking motion. If you look at the shot from the camera angle right behind whoever shot it, I can't remember, it appears that his skate gets stuck in the ice and he actually doesn't move his skate forward (meaning towards the net) until after the puck had clearly finished its contact with his skate.

I think that since this is the second time that he has done something like this in the past 10 games h deserves a bit more than just a suspension. Also he says that this is his style of play and he isnt going to change it, to that I say well this is us enforcing the rules in the NHL and we arent going to change that. Pronger is a jackass and there is no way around it. Although i did think it was cool how the Canadian fans booed him when he touched the puck...

Sometimes it is really suprising how close these things get to reality. But, I'm hoping the Sens win it. I think the Wings could have beat them, but I don't think that the Ducks can. As of late the Sens' goaltending has been rock solid and their all-star line has been producing much better than the Ducks in general.

I think this is a great move for Luc and the Kings. Luc I would have to say is one of the most well spoken and just plain smart former NHL players. He is also a really decent guy from what I have heard and can draw conclusions from. Congrats to Luc and the team.

You order Hotwings at the bar you are watching the game at, and decied how hot they will be when you order by how bad the Wings need a victory. Also, you do not touch one untill the Wings actually score a goal because, then they are considered Wings, for the Wings. You walk into the bar with your Hasek (home) or Yzerman (away) jersey on depending where they are playing and the waitress brings you the remote to change the TV and then asks how bad the wings need a victory, because she knows your method for ordering your food. You go out to watch a playoff game and have them turn the biggest TV in the Cubs bar from the Cubs game to Versus because it is the only one that gets satelite. These are all true and I must say im guilty of the thousands of miles away thing too...

This is true, Canadians will always be looking for another team up there, since the Jets and the Nordiques and all of those left. And lets face it the NHL is much more populat in Canada, if Bettman was really looking to make some money he would quit his vendetta against Canada and put some teams up there. I am all for Canada having a few more teams, but as I said earlier first and foremost should be cleaning up the Preds game.

I agree with the Bettman thing. I think it would be much better if we could get him out of there, and get someone who actually understood the game. But then again what do I know? I'm just a fan, I don't make money on the NHL so dont listen to me.

Sorry guys I have to go "Old Skool" and say: Gordie Howe & Ted Lindsay Howe is a legend the nickname Mr. Hockey is trademarked to him, and Lindsay was the first to ever hoist the cup above his head starting a huge tradition. Not to say Yzerman isn't in the list either. Goalie: Sawchuck, then Vernon Active?: Hank & Cheli Goalie:Hasek...I just love his style of play, and hopefully he is active for another year too.

I am wiping the tears from my eyes already why can't you just go and make it a little less painful for all of us? And, you say you are 16 eh? You have plenty of time for your tastes to mature you will be back I'm sure. Well here is to next season may we meet you in the playoffs again, with a different result.

Oh man, you are correct on so many levels. The worst part of the year is waiting for the season to start again. The summer is bad enough with all the heat, but all the unanswered questions that teams are left with after the season like the ones you posed...I suggest (not really, but it would be neat) after the playoffs a 3 week break for the players, then start the season all over again...all I will have in a few weeks here to hold me over will be nintendo's Blades of Steel and NHL 06. And I guess talking on these boards in the off season too...but still it's not hockey.

You know, I think it is classy for you to bid us all farewell Duckette, but I have noticed this good bye attempt is longer than War and Peace. You sure you don't want to stick around and change from the dark side? I have noticed that some of us Wing fans really need to start talking in repsctful manners like you have been all along, especially in this saga of a good bye.
