Gordie Howe hat trick

I really hope new ownership will make a respectable club out of them. If you ask me right now they are just a brute squad who shouldn't be playing the game. I really hate the Preds right now because of their style of hits and cheap ones at that. However, if the new ownership has them take a 360 then I could see them being a legitamate club in my eyes.

The thing is with Bert I think is that he was keeping himself on a short leash due to the fact that wole court thing isn't settled yet. I beleive once that it all over and done with we will see a more physical Bert who is more adept at scoring. I would like to see him back next year especially if he can get all the legal things settled; to test my theory, and if my theory holds true he may be the fighter that we are looking for to stick up for our guys.

I'm with Detroit's #1 Fan on his view of the draft. However you should be looking forward to school, and learning how to speak and write in proper English.

Overall? Lilja Playoffs? Dats, he actually came this time. playoff suprise? I think Markov brought the hunger in some of the Duck games when alot of the others where just coasting.

Yes I see what some of you are saying, but if Dom comes back I would be willing to bet it is only for one more year, and I think it would be great for him to go out on top next year. I mean yes we do need to finaly start playing some younger talent, but all around not just in goal, but if Dom wants to come back for one last shot at the Cup, I think it would be great.

Yeah i can see what is being said here about the Preds and the Wings, only thing is I don't think it will turn into an Avalanche rivalry seeing as how we really don't scrap like that anymore, nor do we have really anyone to do it. That and we realize their organization as a whole is a joke, and they are worse goons than the Ducks if you ask me. A rivalry against the ducks? maybe if we get eliminated by them again next year, and there are some more cheap shots that really injure players, or if they keep mowing down our goalie.

I can't stand alot of the eastern conference teams but I do like Ottawa and their style. I also don't like half of the Duck's players so I'm going with Ottawa.

I think he is kind of a poor sport for this, I think it is really great that the NHL is the only sport that does this. However, as I said before i think it is excusable if no one wanted to shake hands with pronger, and if Chelly didn't with Perry after that hit he took in game one, I can see that too. But the rest of the team, that is a bit childish. Oh I just saw that you say he was injured, that makes it excusable to just really get the coaches then leave the ice I think.

Im not going to lie, I think Hasek did ok with what he got tonight. I really think he kept it closer than it could have been, I think that the problem was the fact the Wings didn't bring their game untill the 3rd. I say if Hasek wants to stay let em. I also think that all those players that we had that you are calling out are there for a reason. Sure Lang wasn't as productive as I wished he had been but if I remember correctly in last season's playoffs Datsyuk wasn't as productive as anyone would have liked either.

Man you know...if fan support was factored into these games being the more fan support you got you got bonus goals we would embarass the rest. Too bad our boys have to do to scoring themselves, but they are fully capable. Go Wings!

I love it how Hull was saying we would be really lucky to make it out of the first round, and now he is saying this. It reminds me of the Rangers/Sabers game where he flip floped his view on the "Distinct kicking motion" of that goal once his co-anchors sided together on the call.

The Wings always play great when their backs are to the walls, so I beleive this is their thing, and I beleive them when they say they will bounce back.

Well guys I beleive we can do it, but I want to help out in the luck department. So I have a question. I have a Dom Hasek home jersey that I have been wearing for the entire playoffs, but I just got a Stevie Y away one. Which should I wear tomorrow to help out with the lick of the team?

It won't I think and I have always thought that the wings play best facing elimination...then again that could be said of many teams, but I have faith the Wings will do it tomorrow.

I really hope history does repeat as well, but I also hope Pronger breaks his leg or something in the upcoming games. Is that too much to ask? That or the booing by our fans keeps up at the Pond because you know we will be there, just like Hawkeye fans or roaches us Wing fans are plentiful and there is no end of the earth we aren't on.

You know the more I think about it the more I agree with you. Look at some of our lower line guys they are getting pushed around who are in there because of their size anyway. And to tell the truth I have always liked Hudler anyway, I have him on my 3rd line permanantly in my NHL game too.

Well since it's down to crunch time I think whoever we put in is going to play above what they have been doing. Personallt I like Hudller too but I don't know who Babs is going to take.

Ok I think the Refs a bad, but not that bad. Because, if your theory holds true we should play to lose and then the refs will hand us the win. I don't know, I theorize on alot of things that Bettman may have his hand on, but I think this is a bit too far out there.

Let's face it the Ducks really haven't faced it themselves. We had a hard series against the Flames and Sharks, but we got through it. The Ducks had the Wild and Canucks. Luongo is an excellent goalie but the canucks offense was nowhere when they got to the playoffs. We have a package deal, we have both, we played the harder teams, we will make it to the finals.

See I'm with em' to the very end...I wonder how dead these forums will get once the season is over...however it ends for us, eventualy you think we will seperate the fair weather fans from the rest? And I have full faith in the Wings in 7. We have this series.

I agree with all of this completley, but I have to say I think it's funny that I start a thread about the 5 on 3s that we weren't capitalizing on and I was told by a few that I was an idiot...but all things aside, we need to work on our PP thats all there is to it.

Exactly I mean come on, lets look at the finals last year. The Oilers came back from a three to one deficit to force game seven. Granted they didn't win but they still had heart and came pretty damn close. This series isn't over yet there is still alot of hockey left in our club, don't get too down on them too soon. Hell even if we don't make it I won't be down on em' we will have had/we are having a great run this year.
