I'm an odd duck, but last year as we opened the series against Pittsburgh... I had a bag of sour gummy octopi The first one I pulled was red/purple (AL!) and we subsequently won the game. I wasn't diligent enough in my octopi search after that, since my gas station stopped selling them. We wound up losing.. so I have two bags already on hand for the first two games in Phoenix. The red/white playoff bracelets... I always have to listen to my Wings CD pre-game... and the RGDT. I might have frightened off a friend of mine who's never seen my post-season neurosis.

I'm getting mine ready as we speak I've also got my necklace that I've been wearing all season. I switch up the letters on it when we start slumping. PP in OT - we better put this away. And is anyone catching this on the FSN-D feed? I could have SWORN at the end of regulation I saw someone dart down the aisle and huck something onto the ice. It -looked- like an octopus? I'm stuck watching the Columbus feed and they said nothing of it.

They probably have DirecTV and are cursing Comcast 'cause they own Versus and they're responsible for the hike in the channel's cost (which in turn, is why a bunch of folks stopped carrying it). I have Time Warner and they almost cut Versus and some other programming a season or so ago due to coverage costs.

That is amazing... I love reading stories like this about our players. Any NHL players really, they all (for the most part) seem to have a real capacity for things like this.

I can't wait for tonight, despite the fact we're on Versus. I can overlook everything about their broadcasts if it means getting to see the Wings out there and getting to see Lilja on the ice again

2nd. Kesler was out and out tremendous. He hustled his ass off every shift. I was heartbroken when the OT winner was scored for Canada but I can't help but be proud of this team for what they did. Young, inexperienced, and counted out... and pushed like hell to make Canada really WORK for that gold medal. What stinks is I now have to go back to arbitrarily hating some of these guys like Jack Johnson and David Backes... but that's alright with me for now
