While Game 5 had me feeling epic and superior, I'm definitely in the same boat as you. I just don't feel comfortable getting cocky just yet. There are a lot of variables that can lead to a game 7 at this point. And it's not that I don't WANT to see our boys succeed in Game 6 (Winning the cup is winning the freggin cup.. in our barn or theirs) but I'm not entirely ready at this point to jump up and down, pointing my finger in Pens fans faces going "I told ya so!" Wings need to face Game 6 with the same do or die mentality that the Pens are. Otherwise Game 7 is going to FORCE them to play that way.

They have, but NHL.com is being epic lame. NHL-N is airing them, for those of you with that option.

My poor husband, this post-season has been really hard on him. He's used to listening to local broadcasts for our football team. Hearing all these announcers ripping Detroit is just driving him mad. We've looked great the last 10 or so of the 1st. If we keep this up I'm going to bed happy tonight. Show no Mercy, Leave no Doubt! LGW!

I really got a huge confidence kick when we killed that early Kronwall penalty. After we scored, I broke out the octopus gummies and the first one that came out was a red/purple octopus I'm calling it an omen! Keep this intensity and pressure up, and we can wrap this game up in a bow and give it to Babs as a present.

I'm pretty sure I heard someone mention that the only reason Abby was benched was the return of Draper to center, and Abs isn't comfortable working in as a winger. Putting him into a different position that he's not accustomed to play in, during this time of the year, is worse than benching him.

Turnovers have been killing us lately. I don't know how we've allowed ourselves to get so cut away from each other that it seems like there are 3 pens in every passing lane. It's unbelievable.

Absolutely. 2 goals in the 3rd is totally do-able. As long as our defense shows up with our offense.. >.> That being said, I think we're going to play a better 3rd. If we come out without any steam, I'm going to be incredibly disappointed.

Ozzie is incredibly cool under pressure. As a goaltender, if someone kicked me upside the head while laying in my crease.. I'd have straight up gone Patrick Roy on his ass

I absolutely loved his play tonight. He's an amazing player and I'm going to LOVE seeing that man in a Wings jersey for the next 12 years

In regards to the too many men, I loved when VS showed the replay and the late man from the Pens finally went back to the bench. You could see all the Wings look over at the bench.. seeing NO ONE come off and replace him, turn around to count the Pens and all going "Wait... what!?" I don't think -anyone- noticed the too many men out there, not the Wings or the Refs.

My husband was new to hockey in 2005 with a local team.. and even HE didn't think THOSE kind of thoughts..
