I want Abs to score again, his post-goal "Wooo!" was - quite possibly - the most adorable sound EVER. It almost beats out the laughter of my own child.. x_x Go Wings!

I enjoyed the kick into the goal by MAF's leg as opposed to the goal he squatted into the net for us. Deja Vu all over again..

Absolutely phenomenal effort by our 4th line tonight. I'm feelin' that lineup with Abdelkaeder, Malts and Leino. They looked great! Crosby "slash" at the end was petty, he's just trying to get under the boys' skin since getting on the scoreboard didn't work out so well for him. Did anyone pay attention to if they were double-shifting him on the 4th line tonight? I know it felt like he was on the ice an awful lot, but I wasn't watching his partners out there. I'm enjoying the way Babs is putting all that energy out there during game 1. Helm could skate circles around the entire Pens team and have 'em worn down by tomorrow night to let the top lines have their way with them. And I'm ALL for it. And Pittsburgh really ought to know better about the boards. Is that what we're going to come down to blaming this loss on? The ******* BOARDS? Tell ya what... take away those two iffy goals, Ozzie gets his softie back - and Abs still scores on Fleury in the 3rd for a 1-0 game to match the series. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Count me in! I was totally diggin' our bracelets last year. Braiding the embroidery thread definitely gives the bracelet more shelf life and less likelihood of falling off or coming undone when you're showering or washing your hands. I know some folks had trouble keeping them on last post-season. I still have the ♥Henrik♥Zetterberg♥ Necklace I made last year. I wore it every game day during the regular season, and it's what kept me sane during the post-season too. I even had a customer at work call me on it last season, saying I shoulda made one for Ovie instead! I might have to make an emergency run to Hancock Fabrics if I can't find my craft box in my storage unit. We're moving in 2 weeks, just in time for the playoffs to christen my new house I swear, first thing I'm doing when I move in is hanging my 08 Cup banners... fill the house with super good mojo!

I have a funeral in a couple of hours - so I'm gonna need the boys to come out swingin' tonight and light the lamp for me. Unfortunately, I might not even get to SEE the game... since I'll be at league. I'll have access to catching it on FSN-Midwest (blech..) but I doubt the alley will change the channel off of basketball. But if my brother is working, I might get a pity change in there. Or I might bring my laptop... hell, it's been what, 4 days since we played last? I need my damn hockey!

No score predic outta me tonight, just prediciting the big fat 'W'. We have a rep to uphold.. let's just make sure that Calgary doesn't try and uphold the 'let's send out our scrubs to slash and hack the Wings to make us feel manly!' rep. While I hate the reminder of the tragedy that was NHL hockey in Kansas City - the "history will repeat itself" argument has got to effing go >_> Colorado got their team sacked before and the Avs seem to be prospering just fine. However, as much as I would LOVE to have an NHL team to call my own.. Kansas City is ******* up so much of it's pro sports deals here that I'd CRINGE to see the NHL logo attached to anything. Right now we're on the verge of losing both the Chiefs AND Royals. Despite thinking that we could probably house an NHL team, putting one in this area with the way they're treating pro sports right now would be a HUGE mistake on the NHL's part. Down the road, once the Mayor quits trying to eff everything up (or Kansas City elects a new one)... then I'd be all for giving it a go. Right now though, I just can't justify it. No matter how badly I want to have a team here. Sit tight Islanders! Give Kansas City time to kick out the mayor before you come on over.
