I had many "I hate you Sammy!" moments, in just this game alone (empty net - WHIFF!) but he definitely redeemed himself tonight. A wrap around?! Fantastic news! I'm glad we're going to be able to take on the Pens with Mule back and with Cleary able to play to his potential. Someone mentioned before that the chin guard seemed to inhibit his ability to see the puck down low near his skates. I'd have to imagine going from playing with that thing on, to playing unrestricted has gotta be like moving from a black n white tv to a high def flat screen I'm so excited for Saturday now - I've got a GREAT feeling about these playoffs. What we need tonight is to get back to what we do best. We need traffic in front of the net (lookin' at you Homer!) we need to just put the puck on the net. Don't look for a shot - just take it. If we're playing our style, we'll have someone there to bang in that rebound. Turco was giving 'em up left and right at the Joe on Saturday. He keeps playing like he can get away with that, and we can turn this into game 4 against Colorado. Dallas effectively shut down Hank/Dats together, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing them split up. Give some of the secondary guys someone to work with and see what happens. Worst case scenario is - that doesn't work and we go to a game 7. Detroit needs to remember, despite the fact Dallas won 2 in a row, they KNOW they can't back off the gas yet. They're still in a must-win situation and are going to play that way. We have to come out hungrier, and if we can do that.. then we'll start prepping for Crosby and the Pens. Show no Mercy - Leave no Doubt!

Absolutely. I think the team meeting after this game is going to be a long one. We made so many mistakes, couldn't connect on our scoring chances, we were looking a lot like Dallas in game 3. Just dead on our feet, couldn't start anything - and the minute we almost had something going.. we'd make a careless mistake to wipe it. Here's to putting this game behind us, and getting ready for Game 6.
