Austin Ice Bats Though I think their barn smelled like manure.. I didn't enjoy the WPHL games we watched down there. Edit: I see Selkie beat me to the punch Hate the west coast trips, especially when I've gotta work the weekend. So I'll be watching this from bed. Just hope I don't fall asleep and have to wake up to static and turn on NHL on the Fly to get a final score.

Funny thing to the Colorado situation.. depending on which fans you talk to, some are totally cool with Bert now. My mom's a diehard Avs fan and she's got absolutely no problem with Big Bert. He's done his penance, and that was enough. But she sees the incident differently than most Avs fans I think

At that point, there's nothing left to jinx, so I'd say you'd be fine But I can't say anything, I'll hold onto superstitions watching replays or hell - classic games like replays of the '98 cup win. I would jump up and get excited when goals were scored and my husband looked at me like I was nuts. ("You do realize this game was played 8 1/2 years ago.. right? And that -nothing- you do or say will affect it? Why are you getting so excited? You know you won already." "Shut up!")

Not to my knowledge. I was actually a senior in high school when that happened (parents took me out to St. Louis to see the Wings as a graduation present ) but I didn't keep track of much outside the Wings.

Story in Edmonton is getting ugly quick. Brutal high stick right in front of the ref... Cogliano is bleeding from the mouth/face pretty badly according to HFBoards... and no call. Instead, a call on Penner puts the Oils on the PK. It's already 0-4 Carolina before the 10 minute mark. As far as the other games, I've got Neuverth on my fantasy team. So I'm hoping for a good showing out of him and some good D to keep the GA low.

This. I used to be a huge wrestling fan, and one of the gals broke her neck doing stunts for a tv spot and didn't even realize it for almost a month. As far as Nylander goes, it's a shame to see someone hurt like that. I'm just glad he hasn't got any spinal cord issues to contend with during rehab. Here's to hoping a speedy recovery for the guy.

The win doesn't have to be pretty, it just needs to happen now Ducks lost to the Preds tonight, and the 'Burgh choked it up to the Habs. I enjoy seeing those two with 0-2 records to start the season.

Mine has been added It'll be on NHL8 for Center Ice on Time Warner (in my area at least) Praise cheesus, I was going to panic if I had to spend my anniversary glued to my computer monitor for this game instead of the big screen. -

http://www.indemand.com/sports/nhl/ According to the Sports InDemand folks (who do the CI feeds) I don't see it listed for tomorrow at all either I'm going to be HORRIBLY upset if I miss out on this game tomorrow for no-good reason. I don't live anywhere near Anaheim OR Detroit, so there's no realistic reason they'd have me blacked out.. -

Just caught that last bit on the stream with Holland. I'm glad to hear it, Downey's a good guy. Glad he's been able to find himself a place in the organization.
