Was I the only one who caught the CBC guys on NHL Network say 'Leafs 2 - 1 over Grand Rapids' at the end of the first period? xD I swear, I about choked on my dinner hearing that tonight. Classic Canadian coverage.

I get Center Ice through my cable provider, and yes unfortunately... some of the feeds aren't offered in High-Def. It's a minor inconvenience for me though. My cable provider though, they at least give the option to break the CI package price down into 4 installments, which makes it much easier to bear than just the one big lump up front. Plus, I'll be spending a lot of weekends at my local team's games so it definitely pays to have Center Ice.. especially when you can DVR those bad boys and check out the game the next day.

Kansas City has a team the problem with Kansas City is the new arena they built in the middle of a s***ty downtown area that no one is going to want to go to. Hell, they did a pre-season game there the past couple seasons... my parents went and had to change clothes to go out to eat due to the dress code downtown, and THEN change into their jerseys for the game. No one is gonna want to do that.

Glad Orpik is out for the game, but Franzen skating off on his own power doesn't halt my worry. The man tore his ACL and finished a game and scored a goal So just skating off doesn't ease my mind at all anymore..

I don't think anyone has a video stream But from the sounds of the play-by-play.. sounded like Comrie just kept picking up rebounds off Ozzie and eventually got one in. Sid shot it on Ozzie, he made the initial save but it sounded like the puck fell outta the glove and Crosby batted it into the net. Just sounds like rust on Ozzie's part - and the defensemen he's got out there tonight aren't exactly our A-team either.

Did I hear Brad Stuart stole some guys' stick? I'm glad I don't always have to listen to these guys. I don't know if I could do 82 games like this.

Man, NHL Network with all the pre-season hookups and Chicago gets the broadcast instead So sad. Holding out hope for the radio stream to work itself out for me. Any action is good action for me. <3

My husband had never been to a hockey game, or even seen one, until we got together. Shortly before our wedding 5 years ago, I took him to a pre-season game here in KC between the Blues and the Predators and he's been hooked on the game ever since. I'm pretty sure his Wings fandom is to save his own skin, since I know he also likes the Predators... but he'd never root against Detroit with me in the house He's not a huge, superstitious, borderline delusional fan (that's reserved for me ) but he really appreciates the game now. He doesn't agree with some of the chincy calls we see (I let him watch Game 4 between the Wings and Caps when we won the Cup in '98 and it blew his mind what both sides got away with then that we don't now!) but he lets me be a little neurotic when playoffs start, and since we don't live near an NHL arena.. I get Center Ice and NHL Network special ordered in via our cable provider - plus season tickets to the CHL team in town.
