that's what it is to be a wings devotee in recent playoff years. you can outplay, outshoot, out hit, out everything your opponent, but if you can't outscore 'em, it doesn't mean anything.

refs have been questionable and have blown calls since the dawn of time. it happens. but i have yet to see a series decided by refs.

nope. not nervous at all. angry, yes....confident, DEFINITELY. wings ran the pens up and down last night like they normally do. just didn't turn out how we all wanted it to. -

i put my son to bed while we were up 3-2 with time winding down, thinking, 'this is going to be one of the greatest games i've ever seen'.....2 hours later.....

i'm still extremely confident in game 6. that said, i'm effing fuming today. i've never been so angry in my entire life. not at the wings, not at the pens, not at the refs.....just at how things turned out last night.

The only thing that kept us from winning last night (my opinion) was crisp passing and turnovers. Even at that, it was still a one goal game. I'm still confident

Wings have incured this all playoff season. They're dismissed in the media, and then win the series. Afterwards, colunnists backpedal and praise Detroit. That's fine with me.

Agreed. You can play mix and match / chess games all series long, but at some point, you just have to go out there and skate and hope your team can stay healthy and play their hearts out. That's where the coaches job ends, and the players are accountable for execution.

Maybe he's putting that out there just to get Babs to adjust his winning formula. Which he won't, because he's actually smart.

I love Don Cherry. I'd rather watch the CBC feed than any other feed. He's a tradition, he's full of it, he knows what he's talking about, he likes being an irritant/personality, he's proud of being canadian. I think he's a piece of work, but i 'get' it.

I think we're plenty physical in our checking game right now. We need to maintain that. To be honest, retribution fights didn't happen vs. Dallas for their shennanigans, and I don't see it happening here unless the Wings fall far behind. They want to play poised and close this out more than they want to punch anyone.
