I'm not too worried about the Wings. They seem to be doing just fine in game 3 situations (sans Nashville) thusfar. I think they're hungry, they smell blood, and they want this over too badly to let the Pens in their heads. I'm more nervous about scoring the first goal than anything. That's been a good 'tell' so far in the playoffs.

I think his days of being badmouthed have ended abruptly tonight.

I think Chelios will do his best work in this entire playoffs if he stays on the bench. This has GOT to be his last season. Hasek as well.

very lame as i only get nbc and not versus. guess someday, i'll have to shell out another $40/month just to get digital basic and versus. ugh.

I bought the hat and ladies t for my wife. It'll get worn even WHEN the Wings beat the pens. I just liked the hat a lot. I should probably leave them in the box when they arrive however until SCF are completed.

We will try to be there, but it's the first night of adult league for me that night. As captain, I have to show up and make sure everyone is paid up and the roster is finalized and whatnot. So it will depend on the time of my game. I'm gonna try to find a sitter though, just in case. GO WINGS!

Remember when a bunch of people from ESPN predicted Colorado in 6 and 7? I realize the pens aren't the avs, but I just love that the media at large has underestimated the Wings this entire playoff season, and make excuses for the other teams we've beaten. Keep on bringing the hate ESPN. I love it.

With Franzen stealing the show, so to speak....and Dats/Zet doin their thing so well last night, I just wanted to make mention of the obvious great play of these two so far in the playoffs. Kronwall has been the physical presence that we've needed and has played great positional hockey. Rafalski has floored me with his neutral zone and positional play as well. I guess because I play defense, I tend to keep a more skeptical eye on our D men. But I just wanted to say a big thanks to these guys for stepping it up. It's scary when you have a team so skilled that talent like this goes unsung (not intentionally). Just speaks volumes about the Wings depth. <3

At least in the playoffs, I see Rafalski in on a lot of plays, passing, hitting, tie ups. He just seems to be everywhere I'm looking. I want to throw Drake's name in the mix here too...

Cheli has been making some bad passes lately. I remember him too well from his Blackhawks tenure to ever really accept him as a Wing though. Especially wearing Probies number.

Say what you will about Cherry, but he's an institution in a sport with tons of tradition. His comments are inflammatory and blown out of proportion, but I'll gladly take Cherry over these jokers on NBC anytime.

OK, here's the deal... I'm going to be in town in a couple of weeks, and would like to take my brother in law to a 2nd round game while I'm there. I need everyone's best power of estimation (before schedule is announced) of what date you all forsee game 5 and 7 happening. I definitely won't be in town for games 1 and 2, so I'm relegated on betting on there being later games in the series. Any advice besides "there won't be a game 5!" would be greatly appreciated GO WINGS!

Thanks so much. I definitely have plans in town on the 3rd and 4th ....maybe I'll have to look at there being a game 7.....which there obviously won't need to be! dang. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

i wasn't there last night, sadly. but i got to watch on tv.... living in so cal i can say that anaheim tries really hard to be a 'hockey city' these days, god bless em. they just don't understand a lot of how the game works both on and off the ice. of course there are exceptions, but overall, every time the wings win, there's always an excuse. it's usually bad reffing. they try, they really do but honest to god, if your tradition is singing 'ooooo ooo ooo ooo' during pennywise's 'bro hymn' everytime your team scores...... *shakes head* like one person said, check out the other events forums. i know that there's a large so cal contingent of wings fans, and i've met a few of em. vladyibelieve16 is dilligent about organizing get togethers. GO WINGS!

I'm waiting for my neighbors who are Ducks season ticket holders to invite me. They had better......
