What do you expect Holland to give up? We have a solid core of guys, Holland is not willing to give that up for rentals. It seems everyone gets upset with Holland when he doesn't make a huge trade or enough trades. Not trading should be saying something good about our squad, we are solid. Also, waiting till the last second to trade is not a bad strategy, he probablly knows that teams are trying to hold out for more. An example of this, the Hossa deal, the pens gave up a lot for that, in my opinion, not worth it. The wings are fine, sure were on a s***ty little skid here but this season we have dominated, games I thought we shouldn't have won, we did, games I thought we didn't deserve we got two points out of.

I'm not sure if your a costco member but they sell a team sweden signed lidstrom jersey. They are usually on the floor with many other detroit related sports memorabilia, but at select times during the year. My step-dad is a huge art collector and when they dont have art on the floor he will call the company, I'm sure you can get it through them.

were you actually expecting the flames to come out on top in detroit? my personal belief with the calls in this game were mainly due to reputation the flames have in the NHL, when things aren't going the flames way they have to find some way to goon it up.

I was thinking the other day about how much the wings team has changed since we won the cup in 02, with players leaving and younger players becoming better(dats and Z) and I'm wondering if anyone here knows where you can get games possibly from the 01-02 and 02-03 season or possibly the entire season. I really want see the changes this team has gone through. Thanks.

my last resort was to contact the nhl, Im sure they every game recorded for every team. Im sure theyll charge me out the ass but i thought it would be a good question for the members on this site. most of the people here always have answers to peoples questions.

my gf and i usually park at the parking structure next to Elwoods, across the street from comerica park. We eat at elwoods, get our parking validated and take the shuttle back and forth to the joe. Hope this helps, I like to eat before the games and have the parking validated, i do it every wings game.

I've said this once before. I'm all for the new jerseys if they truly help the players. They do look stupid and you'll never catch me wearing one and I don't think they will sell very well. I like the old jerseys and I bought one today.

Even though the future looks bright the last thing on my mind is the wings going down in game 6. Were gonna win this thing. We played awesome yesterday and its gonna carry over to next game and then the next. Wings in 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually grew up in Chicago but never really was a Blackhawks fan, but I loved chelios. I became a wings fan in 1995 when they were facing the devils in the stanley cup playoffs. I was in Michigan and my whole family was wings fans and they bought me a wings hat and at the point I was a wings fan, I was 10 at the time. I eventually moved to Detroit in the winter of 97 and it was great to see them win the cup, and then the next year as well.

Funny stuff, I can only wish that will happen.

As much as I don't want to call this a conspiracy, I have noticed a lot of penalties being called in the last 4 minutes of the games this season and post season. I don't think its any of Bettmans doing or the NHL, at least I hope not. I'm not too big of a fan of the new NHL with the shootout and the increasing number of powerplays and 5 on 3's and hope this won't last forever, but if it will help the NHL then thats the way it goes. I will say though about the new jerseys coming out next year, I am not a fan of them but if it will truely help the players out then Im all for that, but I'm buying a jersey this year cuz you won't catch me in one of those tight things. Is this true? He combo'd twinkies and grapes? loo, if you could confirm this idiosyncrasy of the Dominator... I'm not so sure its totally true, just trying to make a joke. I was actually told by a co-worker that he was pretty crazy and that one time when the wings were on the road McCarty noticed that he'd ordered a box of twinkies and a bottle of wine for dinner. Then I was told that McCarty said that he was gonna get him a box of Ho Ho's for christmas. Just in fun.

Hes a weird guy , He does stuff no one esle does. I bet if you played the Czech Anthem he'd take his "lid" off. True Dom is weird, anyone who eats a box of twinkies w/ a bottle of wine for dinner has to have something wrong w/ them but I still love Dom in net and was happy that he signed back with us.
