We have a few players that we've been waiting for to have their "breakout" season. Hudler and Filpula namely. Both are very trade-able pieces and I think the time has come to see what can be put together to bring in someone new for the top 6. I may even consider seeing what interest Mule would get.

I think he is looking great also... Kind of reminds me a bit of Dan Boyle the way he moves. I noticed him when we played against him in last years play offs and I'm very happy with him so far as well. Keep up the great work Whitey!

Don't like this signing much right now... maybe Ericsson will using some of that money on a few cycles of steroids and some fighting lessons to help him earn the pay.

Smyttie is and always be an Oiler just as Stevie is and always will be a Red Wing and in my opinion Robitaille was always King! Doesn't surprise me he wants to go home, it is where he belongs.

The time has come... sad to see some old war vets leave but its needed to move into the future or possibly lose some youth who have been training and waiting for this. Thanks for everything but its time! Keep them both in the Org though!

I'd roll the dice on this for the right price... He's big, strong, can score. I think he'd be a great Red Wing even if he is half the player he was but it HAS to be at the right price.

Deciding factors in game 7: Yet another slow start 1st period + 0 shots on net for 4 whole Power Plays Over-all Sharks capitalized on more chances and had some good luck helping at times. They seemed hungrier and better poised much more consistently. I thought on paper we had more depth but their 3rd and 4th liners were there for them also.

I hope Invisible Jiri will finally be traded.... will be a good riddance imo

Jimmy's definitely learned and grown since last years play offs, that is certain. He's been awesome this year. I feel much more confident with him this year for sure and I'd give him my vote for Most Improved and possibly for Most Valuable. There is still room to improve... he's good for a softie per game and can become more consistent (referring to the reg season here). All in all he is moving in the right direction.... Keep up the good work Jimmy!

You got it man... Besides the 1st period its was all Sharks. How much time did we get hemmed into our zone in the 2nd period? The entire first 10 minutes was spent in our half of the ice. Niemi didn't seem to know what a puck looked like after a while and we still couldn't score on him on the few chances we were able to get it in that far.

What to do to beat the Sharks? Ice an entire team that wants to play 60 minute games to win! Last night felt like a flashback watching last years lifeless, slow, injured, weak, excuse, excuse and excuse team play a bigger, better and hungrier Sharks team.... embarrassing. Datsyuk, Howard and our 4th line were the only one's who came to play the whole game. If things don't change tomorrow it could be another sad ending. How can you blame rust? Its not like they had a year off and never touched the ice? Or Line combo's? We can roll 4 strong lines if everyone plays and can match anyone in everything but heart and desire apparently. Shape up boys, its do or die every game now!

What happens if we decide to bring in a stuffed toy octopus and throw it on the ice?

I guess all the ppl who throw their hats after a hat trick will face the same penalty? I can't see how an Octopus would cause anymore "Bodily harm" then a hat.

I like the way he's playing lately... as Mickey would say "with a bur under his saddle". Its nice to see the big guy step into the odd check and drop the mitts if its called for. Keep it up Bert!

Poor play, bad habits, and lack of focus and intensity this close to the play offs warrants these reactions. Just because we don't all wear our rosey red Red Wing glasses doesn't make us any less of fans. the truth is this team hasn't been the same since that bitter loss to Pittsburgh and I feel some new blood is in order. Who knows what happens this year but of they can't win at home and we end up with home ice advantage... well you tell me what's likely to happen come play offs... Oh right, they will flip that imaginary red switch right and all the problems will go away! If this game doesn't serve as a wakeup call then we are in for some big BIG disappointments come play offs and an early golf season is quite likely.

Hasn't been the same team since losing to Pittsburgh in game 7. We need some new blood and a great goalie for a change! Pretty sad when our most consistent line is not our top lines but the 4th line of grinders. Strange thing is how its always the teams that we should beat that give us fits.

I haven't seen as many games as I would have liked to this season but I've watched the past few and I Kindl has improved noticeably. He's still got a lot of growing to do but he's come a long way and at this point I like him better then Ericsson for sure and maybe even Salei. Keep up the good work!
