There are so many examples of this here and how its not only ruining the place but makes wanting to stay here very difficult. They protested the free concert Paul McCartney put on to celebrate Quebec city's 400th anniversary, they protested the recent visit of Prince Charles to Quebec... 2 years ago they were planning to protest the St.Patricks Day parade because they felt it was "too english". I think it says volumes to see how players like Vinnie Lecavalier choose other options even while being offered buckets of money to come.

I've been living in Queerbec for 3 years now and the Quebecois Quebeccers are so annoying. They spend so much time and energy on stupid pointless things, like the book mentioned. It is also by far the most racist province I've lived in... Quebeccers and their "If its not Quebeccer, it's crap" mentality are the ruin of this province. I'm looking forward to my upcoming move back to Canada in the next few weeks... from the City of hatred and complaints to the nations capital! I wish Canada would flush them down the toilet just like France did many years ago... even the French of France think Quebeccers are annoying!

I agree with everything you've said. I still think we could have won game 7 of the SCF and had our back to back Championships but the heart was not there, nor was the Cup.

Hello LGW, nice to see you all again after a rough summer break... I have to say I am still sore from that miserable team effort in game 7 and moreso because it was against the Penguins. Well this is a new year and a new team, unfortunately for me I have only been following the pre-season headlines I haven't had the time follow any closer. I've seen the new additions and of course I know of the departures! I was actually thinking that this years team has a great possibility of being even better then last years givien that those who are expected to take a step forward .. ahem filpula... actually do and make some progress. So far I'm not liking the pre-season head lines and thought I'd turn to LGW to get everyone's opinion. I've been assuming our horrible start has been due to line juggling, trying different combo's and the lack of our starting players in the line up? Catch me up on what been going on... who is looking good? Who is not? I'm mostly worried about Mr. Jimmy Howard, my personal feeling is that he does not have it in him even for a backup at the NHL level. Let me know what your thoughts are so far and welcome back everyone! GO WINGS!

This is exactly what I was thinking. He didn't mean to break the guys neck, it was a fluke. Moore should have faced the music head on for taking a cheapshot at their star player but instead chose to tuck his tail and run. I'm not saying he deserve to have that injury but he had pay back coming be it from Bertuzzi or someone else. There are many other more serious acts that have happened in the league that don't get spoken of anymore, like players trying to step on other players with their skates on for one. Bertuzzi did not try to mame or seriously injure the guy and he has paid the price 10 fold by now. Leave it alone now after 5 years.

As far as Maltby's career has declined he still has a role that he fills better then Dpwney could... just the name Maltby pisses opposing teams off. Kaka Kopecky showed very brief glimpses of improvement but that gave way to him being one of the most useless roster spot fillers next to Boyd the Void Devereaux.... and still Downey was beneath that! There is good reason he never made it to the team full time, and there is good reason he is gone. Who cares if he was a great guy in the locker room? He was a flop on the ice where it counts. I think we've become so euro-filled for so long that we crave the odd s***ty fight from anyone who is willing to do it. There are those on this board that considered Lilja a legit fighter... Lilja! Listen, I'm all for a toughguy presence on this team, and i crave it as much as anyone else... Bob Probert is my second fav Wings player behind Steve Yzerman, but that era is gone, those types of players will not have a use on a team like this. We lost players like Shanny, McCarty and Lapointe and we need to add a few more like them back... guys that can and will fight but also skate, finish checks and score.

All this over Aaron Downey?! Really? He was a terrible hockey player and although I would like to see some toughness added to our roster it has to come in the form of players that can contribute in more ways then just being a goon.

You might be right.... with that type of enforcer on the bench no one will ever think about stepping out of line in Pheonix.... add his 3 goals and 4 assists and I think that puts them over the top!

I'm happy he is gone... we don't need a pure goon with average fighting skill and hands made of cement! Sure he might have been a great locker room guy but our room is filled with them. ...I'm glad he found a home, I'm glad its not in Detroit! Cya!

Its the Olympics, there will be other great teams but none like what Team Canada will ice. We could almost ice a competitive team from those cut from the roster and with our almost Olympians..... not to mention its on our turf this year! Good luck to the rest of the World.... try the BC buds while your in town, it might help lessen the fear.

Team Canada 2010! It might be the scariest team ever assembled.... hand picked by Stevie and lead by Coach Babcock. I personally can't wait to see how they fair but if I were any other team I'd be trembling!

Stevie will always ALWAYS be Red Wing #1. And my hopes is he takes the GM seat after Holland is gone.

This is great news.... 1st Kopecky and now Sammy. It was too bad we couldn't hang onto Hoss but losing these 2 on our spot is a blessing that makes me very happy. Kopecky was just flat out useless and Sammy was bad decision man.... great shot but used it in every single wrong place you could use it from. I won't miss his head fake deke move you could see from a mile away either. Abby and Leino will be an easy and cheaper improvement over Kopecky and Sammy for fun. Helmer in the full time is a great phusical and energy boost and if he can learn to finishhe make add some point relief too.

Oh this is too much.... adding Hossa was a huge plus but losing Khabibulin in place of Huet could be the hook that keeps them out of the finals. Hawks gave us a good run but most of the show Khabby standing on his head! Hahaha, good luck s***Hawks!
