Grapes wins... Grapes has more fight in him at 65 on Coaches Corner then Lilja will ever have. How can you square off with someone, grab one hand full of jersey, have the other made into a fist and cocked ready to throw and yet not throw one freakin punch... all the while taking blows to the head. Lilja's Defensive game has improved but his ability to "fight" and shoot a puck are still deep in the minus department.

I'm referring to the Fedorov who would dominate a game and then vanish until he felt like playing again. If Fedorov had half the heart of Datsyuk he would have been dipped in gold. Good player but with more passion for Anna then for the Red Wing. He was a good ridence and we have thrived just as well without him.

Hahaha, I read this 20 minutes ago and still can't stop laughing. What would the refs hand signal look like when announcing a goring penalty?

Cherry had words of warning to Crosby before he even got to the NHL after he was hot dogging during a game when his team was killing the other. His warning was the same for AO too... keep hot dogging and someone with put you in your place.

I am a huge fan of Grapes too... always have been. Don't always agree with everything he says but I do with alot of it and he has the sack to speak his opinion.

This could be the worst game of the year for some reason. Not taking anything away from Nashville who are playing a mean game while we collectively s*** our pants... this game is embarassing. Speaking of embarassing whats with Lilja? That was the greatest example of Bruce Lee's technique called "The Art of Fighting without Fighting"... That was an embarassment. He's actually quite good at blocking uppercuts with his chin though. Let's hope it ends soon... maybe the entire team should have a few days off to clear their heads.

Cherry just doesn't want the NHL to turn into a 3 ringed circus. He showed all the stupid goial celebrations in soccer games and it if you ever watch a football game you will see some sort of stupid action move after practically every play. Most of AO's celebrations are fine by me but some of them are getting ridiculous and well excessive, almost taunting. Let's see if Cherry's prediction of someone giving it to AO on the ice comes true.

I knew Marian Hossa was good but getting the chance to watch him every game this season just lets you see why he is so freakin good and he has fit into this team like he was custom crafted for it. Thanks for coming Hoss and I for one and praying you decide to make Hockeytown your home. Not that I was not impressed by Pavel Datsyuk before but he is maturing more and more and getting better and better. I had him labeled as a Fedorov Jr. due his old vanishing act in the play offs early in his career but he has proven me wrong and just quietly does his job better and better... keep at is Pav. Finally, I was anxious to see Leino and he has not disappointed. I keep hearing how poor poor Valery Filpula doesn't produce like he can because of playing on the 3rd line... I think thats a load of crap. Leino has come in and produced from everywhere and should have Valery looking at whats coming up behind him because at this rate Leino is looking to be coming in and movin past him already. Keep on it...... ?Leino (Whats a good nickname for Leino?)

I missed most of the game but I was happy to see the outcome. Looks like the experiment worked now its up to Osgood to keep going and earn his spot back for the playoffs. 1 game of not letting in 3 + goal's doesn't earn back my trust nor should it put Conklin in the back up role again. Glad to see him have a good come back game.

I've never liked Lilja at all but this year he is catching my eye, thats hard for me to say, but he improvements deserve to be mentioned so he wins my MIP award. Second would be Hudler IMO.

Every Goalie has no play off experience to start with. How else are they to gain experience unless they are givien the chance? Osgood was not born with play-off experience. Starting him this year on last years performance is a bad decision, especially if there is no change in his game. That would be a worse decision then putting in Conklin who is playing great but has no play off experience. Play the hot goalie, not the previously hot goalie.

Then again, sometimes it'll just stream to your browser without the need for these programs. I remember my days in the Forest City in the late 80's and early 90's... no internet or satellite and cable (tsn) was all Leafs I used to have to listen to the games in AM 760 WJR. Does anyone know of HD streams? or streams that you can at least watch clearly in full screen?

No reason? There is plenty of good reasons for a goal tending dilema this year especially. In Detroit, there will always be good reason for a goal tending dilema, no matter who is in net.

I agree with you. Not only that but we have a legit chance at over taking 1st place and home ice advantage for the play offs. Conklin is playing very well, and the team in front of him is as well.... why mess with a winning combo. Put Osgood in for a game here and there but not 6 games in a row. Every loss hurts and loss of confidence and momentum hurts more. Conks has earned the starts and Osgood has earned the backups.

I'm sick of hearing how great he feels! It's time to show improvement to back up the words. I guess we will see if the experiment worked... it seemed to have worked for Kovalev.

Its true... a 2.7 mill depth d-man really is hefty & unneccessary. I might be alone on this one but I am fine with Chelios playing. I don't think he plays nearly as bad as alot of people on here. Maybe give him a game off if he needs it but I'd be cool with him in the final roster spot.

Sorry man, I just don't think we even need a depth d-man. I think we are more then ready to roll with what we have. Plus a 1.7 mill depth d-man sounds kind of hefty, even as a rental. Finally, thinking that Dandenault will walk onto the team 4 years later and find the chemistry he left behind waiting for him is silly, there is no guarantee that he will find chemistry just because he played here 4 years earlier, this a completely different team and situation. I don't think its a necessary move.

Dandenault was alright for us while he was here but I think we should let by-gones be by-gones. And for 1.7 mill.... no thanks.
