Regardless of how much ice-time Hudler has been looking better and better this year. However, if we can sign Hossa and Franzen meaning Hudler has to go... I will be absolutely ok with that if it means that by trade or offer sheet we can get a highish 1st round pick this year. Zack Kasian may be a possibility.... I'm good with that.

He is a plug and thats about it... not even a good plug but he gets into games to give our real hockey players a bit of a breather. If he is back next season I will be sad because there are better players in GR ready to hop in and who will definately provide way more to the team.

Wing vs. Bruins SCF would be friggin' awesome though. Especially if we hand them their asses and put them firmly back on the ground where they belong. The Beantown fans think they will be taking our toy from us but they will have to cherish their Presidents trophy because I don't think they can hang with the Elite for 7 games.

Where do you find a number that is being hyped that Crosby should be living up to? Isn't he the second line Centre in Pittsburgh? and isn't he in the top 3 in points and assists? He is producing quite well despite the fact he isn't running miles ahead of everyone. He is ahead in points and assists from all of our stars isn't he? He is also playing on a struggling team and still doing that. Not sure how much more people expect of him really? His short career has been phenominal to say the least. He has been absolute consistency since starting in the league.

But what they hate him for is sooo stupid. He whines, he's a baby, he's promoted too much, he ruined his team by signing for 8.7 million, he doesn't score a goal a game, he's not a real Captain. Man, he is not even firing on all cyclinder's on a team that is outside of the playoff picture and he is 3 in the league in points and second in assists! He is one of 2 bright spots on a suck-ass team!? Holy Christ, you don't have to even like him to see the obvious.

How was that article congratulating the Pens for losing at all? Maybe you should re-read it again and try it with your head outside of your anus. First off, they did get a point with a new coach. Secondly, having your head coach fired like that would shake any team to its core, no one expects that and no one can prepare for that and to have them respond with at least point under those circumstances is better then not at all.... see the Tampa Bay Lighting. It will take time for the coaches idea's to take root in this team. Third, here goes the hate for Crosby for missing a shoot out but you also fail to mention that Malkin missed right before him.... just senseless to take bits and pieces that serve as feul for your hatred and neglect the full view of the situation. We just lost to one of the worst teams in our conference due to s***ty goaltending which is of more concern to the Red Wings then and article about the Pen's and their new coach.

Obviously you'd want 2 goalie's playing well going into the playoffs. But like i said in another thread games are for playing and practice is for improving. Something needs to be drastically changed because what ever he is doing is not working and so far, 2/3 of the way into the season, playing games isn't improving his game either.

I just think that Conklin has earned his chance at getting the majority of the games. Come playoff time, if Conklin is still playing at a high level then keep him going. I can't see why you wouldn't play the guy who is playing well versus the veteran who has played well in years gone by but currently is playing like crap. Everyone was unproven in the playoffs at some point in their career. Play who is playing better, that should be all the motivation needed for the other to find a way to improve his game and earn his way into the net. It's crazy how many people on here will visciously defend the guy who is playing horribly bad 2/3 through the season... and not see the other goalie earning his way and deserving to play.

When I read that Schneider was going to Montreal I thought immediately about all the reHabs fans that will try to razz me with the talk of them winning the cup now... again. They are as bad if not worse then Maple Leafs fans. Stupids Habs fans rioted (Looted, burned cars, smashed things etc.) last year after barely making out of the 1st round of the playoffs. Thats just retarded. Isn't rioting what people do when they are angry in protest to make sure they are heard? Who riots to celebrate? I was in downtown Detroit for the both the 97 and 98 cups, in Detroit one the America's most dangerous cities and I only saw millions of happy fans celebrating and having fun... not breaking, or stealing or fighting... the opposite in fact. Anyway, I like Schnieder but I detest the Habs and their delusional fans.... sorry about your luck Schneids, you shouldn't have run to the Ducks for more money and you would have won more Cups.

He's just a kid man. If you would have offered me that much money at that age I would have been all over that. We are spoiled to see what we see in Detroit and I doubt you will see it happen anywhere else. Pittsburgh does not have anything the same as Detroit. What if Crosby made the sacrifice and no one else did, so they all grabbed up the money that he could have had? The poor kid is supposed to have the maturity and poise of a 30 year old before he even turned 20. I don't blame Sid for anything, not the media coverage, not the C on his chest, and definately not for having taken the money that was offered to him.

The best part of it, in true Canadiens fashion, they blame travel for the reason they suck on game 2 of a 6 game road trip. Happy 100 years cry babies.

You bring up some very good points. Mr. Hockey was before my time but I know he was a balls out type of player. I bet he was extra hard on rating Fedorov for all the drama and bulls*** he brought with him... thats not what hockey is about especially when you could play as well as Fedorov could. All that talent the Fedorov had was held back by his lack of heart for the game... which Datysuk has in Spades. I was skeptical on Datsyuk early in his career because he was reminding me alot of Fedorov but since Stevie and Shanny passed on the torch he has totally transformed into an incredible all round player.

Datsyuk has way more heart then Sergei ever did. Datsyuk competes 110% every night, thats not to say he scores points every night but he plays hard everynight. You can not say that about Princess Sergei. No doubt Sergei could play but he took many nights off despite his abilities. I would take a Datsyuk in his prime without question over Sergei in his prime simply due to the fact that what little difference Sergei may have had in skill Datsyuk makes up for 10 fold in his heart for the game and for the team. f*** Fedorov, I was happy we got rid of him and he has licked balls ever since.

My ex gf's Aunt works for one of the Detroit newspapers and she got me the actuall little stamp that they used to print the news papers for the 2002 cup. It's Scotty holding the cup, it was autographed by Scotty and very nicely framed. The stamp is a little metal plate with the image on it. Not sure how it works but its pretty cool. I don't have an actual paper though.

I beg to differ. Maybe Franzen won't over 5 Mill on the open market but he sure will make close to. How much did they offer to Penner, who was not as good then as Franzen is now, and has since shown to be completely useless. Franzen is way better then him right now.
