He is useless on our team, thats what my point is! Got it? Get it! Good!! His wasted ice time could be more valuable given to one of our young guns to see what they can do with.

My thinking is that he may be able to contribute better elsewhere, he's not any good on our team in our system! Also, maybe the other player they bundle him with may sweeten the deal and getting Sammy is an add-on for depth! My hope is to see him leave and someone more suitable to be in his place... hell give him away, let him work the pizza stand anything is better then seeing him on our PP.

I expect everyone to find a new gear for this round or we will not win. At this stage, against a strong Penguins team we need 60 minutes from everyone, every game! The Penguins are no joke. I expect the leadership of the team to find a way to get everyone's perfomance to its best... and then some to get the job done!

Don't like him! Never have, never will! I'm hoping he is shipped out as soon as possible. He is the best at shooting at the wrong time... my favourite is his one and only head fake move that never fools anyone. Maybe we can bundle him in a deal to get a decent replacement!

Agree'd, Kronwall's big hits have been on the clean/dirty line. But I am glad we have at least one person banging... Usually we are the one's recieving these type of hits I am glad we have at least 1 person throwing them back... so long as they aren't done puprosely to injure. Personally, I think Malone would be better off leaving Pittsburgh and coming to Detroit to join Kronwall in crushing people. Who knows, maybe it could happen in the off season?!

I mean its an emotional game and the were battling for 6 games so you can't really expect him to just shrug it off. I remember a game when Chelios declined to stay out for the handshake after a killer series... could have been considered classless but I don't blame him, he just waged war with these guys and couldn't bring himself to do it at the moment! Any word on the review? Did he say something about a backup like I thought?

I saw this too and I could have swore I read his lips saying " Not bad for a backup" or something along that line! Either way great game and Turco is headed where he belongs!

Filppula looks like a little girl most of the time. He had better eat his wheatties in the off season and maybe even try a cycle of Decca or Winstrol. I'd even think to trade Filppula and Hudler now for the right candidate.... someone bigger, stronger and hopefully more Canadian!

Giguerre himself said he is not the most athletic person! The fact Giguerre found holes in the rules and exploited them doesn't bother you as to his reasoning for doing so? And you have to be smoking crack to even compare Hasek and Giguerre. Hasek is exciting to watch becuase his style is his own and requires a hell of alot more talent and athleticism then just remaining square to the puck... and he didn't always have a good team in front of him either. I'd be worried too if I were you! You'll see very quickly how talented he is without his stuffing! Not only him but alot of goalies... IMO Carey Price will be in the same boat!

I loved watching Fuhr and Moog... How about little Billy Smith or my fav goalie Pellie Lindburg! Hank is right the position has gotten soooo boring. The only goalies that will complain about smaller pads are the one that are worried they won't have enough talent to overcome the pad differential. I doubt you will hear a Kipprusoff complain as he has talent and makes saves that his pads alone can't.... or Hasek, same deal! I have an idea... let them wear the oversized pads but force them to wear oversized head equipment as well... like a big inflatable duck head in anaheim... so that they have to guess at their positioning!

Oh I hated Chelios too... I had a hard time adjusting when I heard he was a Red Wing. Now I say let him play as long as he can, so long as its for us... I love Chelios the Red Wing! As for Schneider and Bertuzzi... they have their money to comfort them while we run for the Cup! I like what we have with Raffy. I really wanted Bertuzzi to stay and get healthy here but oh well

Babs is a great coach.... Coach of the year this year if you ask me! But I am enjoying seeing the Kronwallian KO hits (that are boarder line illegal) and hope we can get a few more of our guys making the opposition think twice. I'm waiting for Stuart to start dishing some.

My opinion is that the games should be called from a neutral stance and I agree with this post. Maybe a hoax but I like what it is insinuating! I'd love to see this happen, it would not only increase the scoring but will put more skill back into the goal tending position and less padding. I used to love watching Grant Fuhr and his acrobatics now-a-days the position has become less skilled and more padded and in my opinion a lot more boring to watch. Montreal fans a swarming around their new goalie Carey Price but not only is he over padded like the rest but damn is he ever a boring goalie to watch relying almost exclusively on the positioning of his overstuffed uniform.... Might as well have him sit in the old goal judges seat using a Sealy Posturpedic attached to a stick, then we can be certain they will never get injured on interfered with!

Watching this game on Versus is making me sick! Why don't the announcers just outright say that they hate the Red Wings? Where do they find these guys? Dallas is playing a better game but they are making it sound like Dallas is playing by themselves. Well... thats just my opinion!

I believe that we should win only if we deserve to win and if we play like crap then it is what it is. Well SWF, why not take your own advice you hipocryte! This is a place to share your thoughts with other fans and if you don't like 302362nd thread about bad game announcers don't read or comment on it. I don't think I should have to watch a game with the sound muted and I do NOT believe the announcers jobs are to create controversy... they are supposed to call the game as it is free from biased opinions. I was forced to watch a game with horrible announcers blowing Dallas for losing and it sucked! Anyway, Seems that there are Red Wings fans and then the rest hate Detroit! I'm from Windsor where the fan base is almost 50-50 Wings fans and Leafs fans... and the non Wings fans enjoy when Detroit has a bad game or stretch. I couldn't tell you how many arguements i have had with Leafs fans (Or Flames fans for that matter when I lived in Calgary) about how much Detroit sucks, or how we cheat, or how Hasek's success is due to luck, or how we will never win another Cup with Lids as Captain, etc. I now live in Montreal and have to listen to these idiots do the same even though we are still playing and they are golfing! I guess because we are so consistently successfull and others are not they need to make excuses for why?! I don't question Mickey's knowledge. My biggest beef with Mickey is that he is way to bias. I am a Red Wing fan to the bone... always have been and always will be! However, if we have a bad game or make a bad play I will openly state the truth. Mickey on the other hand always has victim syndrome, in my opinion, and 8 times out 10 will turn our bad play or mistake into something the ref's did wrong or the other team should have gotten called for etc.

My step mother went to school with the Probert boys and she confirms they had a very rough childhood. I think the substance abuse and addictive personalities are hereditary... it was told to me that Bob's brother was less of a even hockey player and even more of a troubled tough guy. I also bumped into an intoxicated Probert in a filthy Windsor bar some years back. At first he was instigating a fight with me and my friends. We wanted no part of him even before we knew who he was. He settled down after realizing we were all Red Wing fans and more importantly Probert fans and he gave us autographs and hung out with us and spoke glowingly about his days in Detroit. What was sad to see was all of the "flies" that were buzzing around him, feeding him drinks and what ever else and trying to keep him on edge. You could sense that he was in a very bad place and if provocked he'd snap and have easily cleared the place by himself. He is huge! His hands were as big a dinner plates. It Seemed tpo me that he was one way when sober and a opposite when not. Good luck to Probie and his sobriety! I'll always be a huge Probert fan!

The glow puck was retarded. But, Its not blasphemy to speak the truth about how Red Wing hockey could be improved. The commentary is terrible even if the commentators are retired Veteran Red Wings. While we are speaking of improving... I would move for a new music man for the games too. I want to hear some good energy music in between plays, throw on some Metallica, or Kid Rock or something to get the juices flowing... I'm sick of hearing the same ol' BS that is played game in and game out. Try going to see a game somewhere other than JLA and see the difference. I saw a few games while I lived in Calgary and I have seen a few here in Montreal and the crowd at JLA is so quiet and well... boring in comparison. The hockey in Detroit will always be better but there is plenty of small things that can be done to spice things up.
