I like Howie but I wouldn't oppose either trying for Miller until Mrazk is ready to drive nor would I be opposed to use Howie for a big trade... Buff would be a cool peice to add especially if he is a right handed shot.

You deserve the trophy for getting us into the playoffs for the 23rd straight year despite having set the record for most man games lost to injury, despite having to deal with garbage like Cleary, Sammy, Bert, Franzen etc, desptie having a revolving door of rookies in the line up. Hossa is fast, strong, shoots, scores, plays defense and has the ability to carry the team from time to time, shows up every game.... all for roughly the same salary as Franzen. I think he is a superstar, look at his stats... maybe not Crosby level but I would take Hossa everyday over Ovechkin!

Simple.... because you DON'T ever let a proven player like Hossa slip through your fingers EVER!!!! He is a career superstar! Franzen at the time looked like he could be but was still relatively unknown.... Worst Ken Holland mistake to date in my opinion. Hurts even more because we know first hand that even when Hoss isn't scoring he is a wicked defensive player as well where Franzen is completely invisible and contributes nothing in his very loong down periods

I think Dave Feschuk may be hanging out with Rob Ford a little too much. Babcock isn't going anywhere. LOL.... the article speculates Babcock isn't happy, that the Datsyuk and Zetterberg era window has closed and he is waiting to see what upgrades, if any, are made if any this off season before he makes his decision. Makes me laugh because we can ice the same banged up s*** and still be more of a competitor then The Leafs. Team with the greatest ownership/management and culture + a bright future, rich history and 23 straight years of play off experience vs. the team that has done nothing since 1967 except suck and choke (Just like their current mayor ), comes with the most pressure on a HC and Team, has horrible ownership/management (Maybe Shanny will eventually change this). HATE!!! Franzen makes this so easy! All that talent but no heart... teases for stretches then let's us down when we need him most. Helm farts more heart and desire then Franzen will ever be able to possess and maintain. I hope he gets traded for someone that cares when it matters... and I will never ever forget that Franzen was signed over Hossa!!!

I remember that looking like a huge bit of embellishment from a player that has a very long list of embellishing things..... I don't think a bump like that should completely corkscrew a 6' 9" behemoth. Nor the previous game when 5' 9" Tatar somehow mustered the strength to throw the same 6' 9" man.

I dreamt of having Lucic in Detroit but this kind of thing is not a heat of the moment thing.... it's a low down filthy and dispicable play and NOT something I would be happy seeing our players doing. Why does a big tough kid like Lucic have to resort to swinging his stick at the low hanging fruit of an unsuspecting player? This guy has zero respect for the safety of the players or the game!!! It's a cry baby reaction for Dekeyser cleanly knocking him off the puck 2 seconds before. Sad thing is we have NOONE to put him in his place.... Maybe Johan will remove his cloak of invisibility and rub his vagine on Lucic in retaliation, probably not though.

I have to agree with the majority here in that Q's second half has been pretty solid. Last season and th efirst half this year I was hoping he'd be run out of town but he's settled in finally and isn't seen much most games, which is pretty good to me because it means he's not sticking out for making retarded plays! If he stayed at a lower cost I'd be fine with it if he keeps playing this way and maybe even continue improving.

Just curious if anyone has seen something like this and where one could find it (post it here is you know where to find it please). Everyone gets injured but I am wondering who is the most injury prone and my guess is the Swede's. With all the injuries we've had the past fews seasons I'm thinking the Swede's are the most likely to break down and thats why the past fews season we are being crushed by injuries. Lidstrom is the only exception I can think of that didnt spend much time on the shelf.

I was just saying something similar. Not necessarily that we will be more dangerous because Pav and Z are back (which could be true depending on how fast they can get back to their game shape) but because we have already been in play off mode for some time now. Seems the bubble teams are the scariest and most unpredictable anymore because of this... Look at last season. That could very well have been our Cup and we came skidding into the playoffs. Add a healthy Pav and Z + a goalie thats wearing his helmet on his head and not his arse and we are that team again! Let's not forget the coach of the year on the bench! Really, Another replace the coach thread?! Any who, The answer to this question is very easy... a no brainer really. The ONLY person suitable to replace Babcock is ME! No one else anywhere is more suitable. Watch out Babs... once word gets out your a goner!
