Considering that my "normal route" has little traffic and we don't have traffic reports around these parts, I just drive. Frosted or unfrosted poptarts?

I work in. It's too cold out. The person below me has delivered (or assisted in delivering) a baby of any species.

You could pick the Great One. Just choose Semanko is a referee. With a paddle.

The video is no longer there (Videon du försöker nå saknas. Rättigheterna för videon har gått ut och därför har videon plockats bort.), but thanks for posting anyway. It's nice to know he's not forgotten. RIP

I got distracted for a minute, and read "I wouldn't be surprised...Snow...as a deadline pickup". Now that my heart has restarted, and I have rejoined this century, I too must add to the throng who feel that Conks needs a team in front of him in order to do well. Last night just was not a good night all around. Being short Pavel did not help, and, as mentioned, the Isles seem to have our number. Last night is just one of those games where you have to shrug it off and move on or you end up banging your head against a wall and doubting yourself. After his last outing, I am still willing to give him another chance. I think he can do better. That said, I'm sure glad we have Jimmy.

Love Machine- the Miracles (side note: I was not prepared for what I found when I googled that title to see who sang it.)

I do like Tuesdays. Storage Wars marathon. (Jenny- we probably talk alike. Do you ever catch yourself using "y'all" and "eh" in the same sentence?) The person below me uses the word "fixin'" when they intend to do something.

Oh, geesh. Both would kill me. I'll take the skiing. Hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, etc.) or cold breakfast (cereal, bagel, etc.)?

Never underestimate the ability of a crappy team to upset a sure thing. Wings 72 Islanders 59

If I had a dog, I would let it if it was a small one. English or Western saddle?

Nope. The person below me has an accent.

So now that the Lions are out, I'm trying to decide where to cheer. Usually, being a Lions fan, I have ample time before the playoffs to decide on a playoff team. I think that Pack will win it all, but I've always been one to pull for the underdog. Of the teams that are left, who are you people pulling for? Who do you pick to win? Who is the biggest underdog? Right now, I'm kind of leaning towards Denver. I haven't yet got the heart to cheer on the Saints after this weekend.

Booga Crawford Whoopie Wings Go Ty! Go Wings! Game on!

Have you people not seen the commercial? Conks is THE go-to guy for making crap go away. He'll be fine.
-
Very much so. We have things to work on, but they are all things that can be fixed. I'd say that the future is as bright as it's been for the Lions for a very long time.

yucky start. commence change of pace.

Keys to winning tonight: DO NOT take penalties, especially personal fouls and neutral zone infractions. DO sneak into Brees' locker and mix his Dayquil and Nyquil.

I think pretty much any business has a policy regarding the public discussion of its business. If they didn't fine, how many whiny coaches/owners/players/managers/ice girls/mascots would be rushing to complain to the press about every perceived unfairness? As things stand right now, if you've got a 30k complaint, you've got a real complaint. It makes the sound bites and people actually listen.

The travel trouble will never be fully addressed. The teams are in cities that are not evenly grouped, nor are they equidistant from each other. Someone will always have the short end of the stick. As for the playoffs, why not have the divisions form 2 conferences (15 teams per), have one or two champs per division, and use the wildcard system to fill in the blanks? In the long run, it would make less difference than the loser point.

I just kept thinking, "They're playing without helmets." That's how they did it when I was a kid, but it still jars me to go back and watch. As Gordie said when asked why he wore a cup but not a helmet, "You can always pay someone to do your thinking." Watching the goalies was cool too. The difference in technique and style takes me back as well. Thanks for posting this. Is it just me, or did they mis-identify someone else as Delvecchio in one spot in the first clip? Maybe I was watching the wrong person.

I actually had to think about that one, and no, I haven't. Something for the bucket list. The person below me has eaten sushi.

Who is the idiot in charge of my personal social calendar who double scheduled me tonight? Wings AND Lions? Together on the same night? Really? I can't even blame Bettman. How could he have known that the Lions would make the playoffs? Oh, well. Stream the Wings, tv for the Lions. Mute each as needed to keep from going crazy. Go Wings! Go Lions! (Sorry, Jack) Edit to add: Happy birthday, Brett!

I wonder wonder who oo oo oo oo who wrote the book of love. Actually, I'd say God did. The person below me needs to get groceries but dreads going to the store.
