Oh... I thought "grown to love" meant that you didn't like them just because they were Wings. In that case... I've grown to love Ryan Suter now that he's with the Wild. Hated him with the Preds.

I have not, although I would like to. The person below me prefers "push" doors to "pull" doors.

Sean Monahan. If you like his sense of humour, BoringSeanMonahan is the best twitter around, although he rarely updates any more. I don't follow anyone, but I regularly check up on him.

There are vices in other cities, but Vegas pimps them (if you'll pardon the expression). How many guys believe the "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" mantra? They probably don't have the same attitude about Winnipeg or Dallas, even though they could just as easily get in trouble there. Vegas promotes the "Sin City" image. No one gets drunk and yells "We're going to St. Louis!" and starts a thousand-mile road trip expecting to break all the rules when they get there. If someone is well-grounded and has their priorities straight, Vegas will be just another stop and another game, but for the young ones looking for a party it could be just as much of a license to cut loose as it would be for any of us if we found out that we were traveling there for a business trip. I could be wrong, but I would think that this is something that would be more of an issue with the visiting team. The actual Las Vegas Crap Shooters (this just MUST be the name- please let it be the name) themselves would live there and have their families and/or a community of players and coaches and team employees there to keep them grounded. It might seem like an adventure at first, but after some serious knuckling down to business, it would be just another place to work.

Not particularly. The person below me has been a server/waitress/waiter.

And it was epically beautiful.

Nope.

My cousin is sick and she wrote about it on facebook. Someone replied, "I hope your well soon." I had to slap my fingers to keep from getting smart with him.

Only a few hairs, which I pluck. The person below me is fluent in another language.

I once had a hamster who was a huge Cleary fan. If anyone else scored, he'd be politely interested, but if Cleary scored, he'd get up and do the hamster dance. I used to sing the Danny Cleary song to him, and once when he got out, he waited in a hole in the wall behind the bath tub until I sang the whole thing to him before he would come out. I pretended to end it after one verse, but he wasn't fooled. He went right back in the hole until I'd finished it properly. I really wish that he'd do something else withing the organization, but if his heart is set on playing, I guess that's what will make him happy. He did fight Chris Pronger and get the nasty eyeball. That deserves something.

A bit more and a bit longer than I'd expected. I tend to be more cautious with longer contracts. Give someone a shorter one to keep them on the leash, so to speak. I'm also notoriously cheap. Nonetheless, I'm very pleased. He has several good years ahead of him, and we have him for four of them.

I have never been outside of North America. The person below me has been in a helicopter.

On average, most dogs are better than most people, but I understand your allergy issues. I'm allergic to cats, most perfume, and stupidity. That leaves dogs and hamsters, along with some good people. -
That would be cool. Can you get me back to ND in time to work at 06:00? The person below me has been to South America.

Dogs and people are hard to compare. In general, dogs are more loyal and caring. They don't judge you for eating ramen straight from the pan. They greet you when you come home as if you are the most important thing in the world. Your girl/boyfriend can kiss them and you are happy that they get along. On the other hand, people don't wake you up to watch them pee, nor do they hump your mom's leg, generally speaking. -
Yeah, if you get a cold that settles in your chest, the Canada Air doesn't help. We were in the Black Hills last week. The California cousins brought a cold. We have some sun peeking through today, so who knows? Maybe it's thinning.

His grandma, who was a life-long Hawks fan, died during the playoffs, so he gets a sympathy vote from me. Kind of a nice way to celebrate and remember her. They should inscribe her name on the Cup on the tattoos. That would be way cool.

Kind of like people. Watching them is dull, but setting them off is fun. -
He's the backup goalie for Chicago who carried them until their started pulled his head out of his jockstrap and started winning again. He deserves a Cup tat. He won it.

Just watching fireworks is kind of dull. Pretty, but dull. -
I was just explaining the arbitration process to a non-hockey fan the other day and part of my explanation was how people panic and then someone (usually a guy named Harold) steps in and reminds people that it means that the player is forfeiting offer sheets and not to panic. I got the strangest look. I think Gus will go somewhere in the 3-3.5 for 3 years range. He had the hot start to the year last season that got people buzzing, but then he cooled off. We know he has the potential, but he still has to prove that he can be consistent. Hot and cold streaks happen, but consistency over all is as valuable as talent.

Not that I recall, although there is a Ronda that I may have asked for help since we used to work together, but I'm pretty sure I'd have died trying before I asked her. The person below me had Lincoln Logs as a child.

Not sure. Weiss really didn't get too much ice time what with his injuries and all. At least Richards is proven. Weiss was when we got him, but the injuries killed that. Hopefully Richards stays healthy. (BTW, the Hot Wing thread has been gone for a while, hasn't it?) The person below me has gone more than 2 days without internet and lived to tell about it.

It could be either of those. Or it could be that she just wants to get on with her life and not be dragged through the media. I'm sure that when she married a hockey player, she knew that he would be in the news, and that she might be too, but this is not the kind of press that most people want. She may just want it to be done with. Since she's not a native English speaker, she may be worried that anything that she says may be misconstrued. Words like "hit", "punch", "slug", and "beat" have similar meanings, but different nuances. She might not have trusted herself to not make things worse than they were or she may have not trusted the officials questioning her to understand her correctly. When you are being interrogated, you have to keep in mind that they are already assuming that there was a crime if, like in her case, she was not the one who reported it. There are a lot of reasons she may not have wanted to talk. We have the right to remain silent if we are the one investigated. We are supposed to have the right not to incriminate a spouse. I don't care for him, but I feel really badly for her.
