When you look at the fine etc. in light of what he has as a professional athlete, it seems like nothing. Since it's a standard punishment, it's a one-size-fits-all kind of thing. It would be a big deal to any of us. Still frosts me that they go after the wife. She deserves a get-out-of-jail-free card. This is why women don't go to the cops.

I can go either way. With family, it's soda. With friends, it's pop, unless they say soda. The person below me is now thirsty.

One on one. No goalies. Yeah.

I was watching one of those spy-type shows from back in the day. You know, the kinds where they have all the cool futuristic tools. I remember seeing this particular episode when I was young and at the time I had thought to myself that if they ever really invent one of those cool things, I was going to get one. Seeing that again, I now know why I found myself with four of them. I'm living my childhood dream of owning a battery-operated screwdriver. Like a SPY!

Only Texas and Michigan. The person below me has tried the method recommended in the "You've been peeling bananas wrong all your life!" video and has gone back to the wrong way because it's easier.

Oh, um. I think "Awe inspiring" was the last clue, but I kind of lost track of this thread. I was going to don my thinking cap, but apparently put on my forgetting socks instead.

Here's a thought. Everyone hates the "loser point" because it makes some games worth more than others (which can effect other teams in the standings) and because people are afraid that players play it safe to get "at least one point", thus bringing on the shootout. How about if we have 2 points to the winner in regulation or overtime, and 1 point for winning a shootout. Loser gets nothing either way. If everyone knows that they're going home empty-handed with a loss either way, but they only get a point for winning in the shootout, they'll kill or die to get it done beforehand. Yes, it has an effect on the standings, but it only hurts the teams that let it go to a shootout instead of their competition.

He's been doing the fire detector and Zetterberg Foundation things for a while now. Nice to see him get the recognition.

Yzerman wins GM of Year (& other awards discussion)

Stevie has gotten them to the SCF. That's more than a lot of GM's have done lately. Congrats to him. -
I've seen the B version. Not the best night, not the best vantage point. It was underwhelming. The person below me has seen one or more Wonders of the World (ancient or modern, I'm not picky).

Nope. Mowing is about it. The person below me likes tuna salad.

I assumed Elisha Avery. Just because he cultivates that sort of persona.

I had to google the movie, but it sounds interesting. I seriously doubt that there is a treasure such as this, but it would sure be cool. The person below me is ticklish somewhere. (You can tell us. You're safe. We can't touch you.)

Most of us look forward to retiring, but most players don't get to leave on their own terms. They're just not re-signed. They have to go to the minor leagues or go on to something else with no training. It has to be tough. I had to quit the job I'd had for 15 years due to health, and it felt like I'd failed. I can't imagine how it must be for them. On a lighter note, did anyone see "Sean Avery- Transition" and remember that he used to work at Vogue and think, "Oh, man, what is he up to now?"

It's ok. I'd say about 4th on my list after strawberry, raspberry, and peach (if it's a good peach- some brands are not good in the peach variety). The person below me would rather give up bread, pasta, rice, etc. altogether than have to eat the whole wheat versions.

Gonna go with beef because it's cheaper. Visit relatives' houses of have them come to your house?

NBC Sports chairman wants NHL ban playoff beards
55fan replied to HadThomasVokounOnFortSt's topic in General
As I am understanding it, his problem with the beards is that the players look different with them (during the playoffs, or at least the latter stages) than without them (the rest of the time). I would guess that real men, such as Hank, who wear them year-round, are not included in his "play-off beard ban". In the interest of creating peace and harmony between the two sides, I suggest that when players are interviewed, bearded or not, the network put the player's name at the bottom of the screen because, you know... literacy is an actual thing. -
State your unpopular opinion *Mod Warning Post #'s 200 & 219*

Manners and common courtesy are dead. If you can't say anything nice about someone who isn't there and you've just heard some bad news about the person (from someone who likes the person), just say nothing. Don't go into why you can't stand them. -
I have never tried an Asian pear. The person below me likes club (or ritz) crackers with cottage cheese.

A dude came into the store the other night wearing his baseball cap forward, and on top of that, another one backward. Weird. -
Put him in on the Maltby plan. Sign him, but let him retire if he doesn't make the team at camp, and give him an office job. If he makes it, we have someone who can be counted on to fill in if there is an injury and is a good motivational person in the dressing room. If not, best wishes and we'll see you in a suit.

Sonya is one of my faves. She sings in my range.
