I don't do UFC, and I'm not a hockey player, but I would imagine any regimen that involves strength, flexibility, and stamina (amongst other things) would be good. At any rate, it has built his confidence to the point that he can show up in pink shorts and not feel unmanly. Perhaps confidence was something else he had issues with last season? I gave him a lot of crap last season, but this is a new year, and I'm ready to give him another chance. The slate is clean now. The pink shorts make me think he's headed in the right direction.

Sad. The guy gets dogpiled and is badly injured. At that point, I really feel for the guy. Now, having apologized and paid financially, Bert is moving on. Any more retribution should be against the guys who piled on him. Every time I see a hit or anything followed by a fight where the teammates get in on the scene, I get sick all over again. The Kronwall hit on Havsplat was the worst. The poor guy gets Kronwalled, which is painful enough, then knocked out, then his teammates rush over to start a shoving match with Kronwall as the guy is laying unconscious at their feet. I was waiting for one of them to kick him in the face. I only enjoyed the hit on the replay. Players need to use their heads and make sure that the injured guy is out of the way before they attack the guy they're mad at. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

I'm glad. With all of the difficulties we hear about that enforcers face when starting/continuing their post-hockey life, it's good to hear about the ones that find something that interests them. Stu became a lawyer. Mac works a pawn shop. Whatever gives their lives meaning and keeps them active and happy. Better than Grinder. Although, I did misread that as "Hardcore Porn" and hoped there'd be a video.

Colour any day. Hedberg or Duguay?

If he uses the money to buy new pants, it will be worth it.

Jacket/blanket/man. Put it off or do it as soon as possible?

Everyone has rejoined the team for skating...except one player...

But, you see, if Hudler does well, everyone but Eva has to eat crow. We can't have that, so if Hudie is doing well, then we trade him so we can all be happy that we ditched him and then when he stays good, we can say, "oh, well, guys always do that after they leave." Then everyone will laugh at Eva for saying that Hudler could have kept that pace with the Wings had he stayed. If he's a PPG player and he stays, people will have to come up with excuses to backpedal to save face. That wouldn't be fun. So, despite the fact that it's not in the best interest of the team, we must either hope for Hudler to be bad or we must hope for him to be good and then trade him. At least if we trade, we might get something good that we can all like. -
Roll. Rolls go better with butter and jam than shakes or rattles. Spend the money on braces or just have crooked teeth? (Assume the braces are not dentally necessary and we're just talking cosmetics.)

Something good can come of pretty much anything if people use it as a force for positive change, although this does not always mean that it will be worth the price. Sometimes the cloud is big, and the silver lining is small. The person below me wears glasses/contacts.

Drive. I just love a good long trip. Half the fun is in the planning. Sitting down with the atlas, figuring the route, adding up the miles, writing down the directions, estimating the time of arrival. When we'd go on vacation, my dad had a whole chart typed up. We were never more than 5 minutes off at the end. My uncle was convinced that we sat at the end of the driveway and waited until the exact minute to pull in. Good times. Maps or GPS?

Not really. Just sort of average. The person below me would like to prune their neighbour's tree.

Actually went to a White Zombie concert back in the day. That's when I discovered I'm old. Gravity or centrifugal force?
-
Let's not go there. Eavesdrop or join in the conversation and hope they don't change the subject.

I love that show. I hope that soon enough I will be able to get a new computer so I can watch clips again without having to wait for them to buffer. The person below me has eaten something "deepfried" at a fair that they can't believe anyone would eat "deepfried".

Totally off topic, but do you know how many years it's been since I've heard someone say "cool beans!" Flashback.

Given the size of the kid, wouldn't that be "clearly lowered his elbow and targeted the head"? Another video for Shanny to send out.

Before we answer, is your wife an undercover Avs fan sent to give our boys cooties? (just kidding)

Toews went to UND. We have manlier boys up here in ND. Seriously, he did check to make sure the kid was ok. I mean he stopped and asked if the kid was ok, not that he checked. He already checked. That's why the kid was on the ice crying. At any rate, I'm sure the kid was fine and that he got a free stick or something like that. And Toews probably still feels bad.

I had worried about that poor Galimov suffering. I know he was in a medically induced coma, but I was afraid of the long, painful road back. I had hoped that if it was not to be, that he would not have to linger on in pain. RIP.

Lions are tied for first in the division! Revel in it, my friends!

The first one. If you need the bottle to tell you whether or not your beer is cold, you should probably stop drinking. Koolaid or soda?

What's funnier is that they don't show it in Canada where the guys are huge. I guess they have their own handyman competition. The person below me could be in a handyman competition and do well.
-
Excellent. Dare we hope?

I didn't get to see it, only hear the last part of it. How did they look? The announcers were saying they were "dominating". Did anyone get to see it that would comment on this? Thanks. That last play sounded exciting. I can usually picture audio in my head, but not that one.

Love with a passion. I'm not so much into the design shows- they're a bit too out there for me, but I love the reno shows. The person below me watched/listened to the Lions game today.
