Has it really been 14 years? Post memories/memorabilia/related pics, etc. Game summary Poor Kamensky- got a hat trick, still lose, and no one remembers.
-
The above works. Then when Phoenix moves to Quebec, Dallas and Detroit move one spot west each.
-
Nope. I was thinking the same thing. Know your boogers; know your health. Some people think it's just plain old mucus, but it'snot.
-
Jabba. I'm eating pizza right now, and that was revolting. Which most like to learn: Juggling, yodeling, or tap dancing?
-
Nope. Smart. And honest for admitting it. The person below me adds extra cheese to their frozen pizza.

You only get so many negs per day. I think most of us can handle the hit. Bring it on. <ahem> Mike Commodore should jolly well wear the number 64 if he pleases, and anyone who thinks that it is not the Red Wing Way is a old goatfart. That ought to do it.

I voted Oz, but I was really torn between him and Conk. Heart says Oz, but Conk will be fine. Brain says Conk, but Oz will be fine. I guess whatever happens, I will be a little happy and a little sad.

I do not like it hard and firm. I do not like it with a worm. I do not like it soft like mush. I do not like it on my tush. I do not like it sat upon. I do not like it, my friend, Dawn. Dr. Seuss or Dr. Teeth?
-
Yes. The person below me has had enough stress and bad news to last them for a while now and wishes that the hockey season would start to get their mind off of it all.
-
Post of the month!

Good thing you added the comma. I'd be very afraid of women like you. I am only afraid of pretty, smart, and/or skinny women except for some that I know are nice people and some of the ladies around here like Loo and Dawn amongst others. The person below me enjoys fruit more during the summer.
-
Jack, that's offal. Doodoo. Whine or wine?
-
Both are great, but watermelon wins by a head. (Side note to Loo: I was actually thinking of solitaire since Johan can't play cards.) Soft or hard toothbrush?
-
My homespace, yes. The person below me spends less time here in the summer.

Not sure how to openly ignore someone. Especially online. Unless you're announcing that you have them on ignore. I only have a few people that I don't respond to unless it would be jarringly rude not to. Then I just answer the question and move on. Playing cards or playing card games on the computer?
-
Did you say something? I have no idea if my thoughts and posts are ignored. I can only read what people respond. I can't read their minds. It could be that they read my post and said in a loud voice, "Yes! That 55fan knows all and is the most eloquent, dynamic, intelligent poster on the planet! There is nothing more that I can add to this! I shall now bask in her glory and then, grateful for the enlightenment, move on without further cluttering the thread with my mere agreement." Or they might say, "That's just too stupid to even comment on." Or they might not be interested in the topic in general. Or they might have nothing to add. Or they might agree, but they're in a hurry so they just nod and I can't hear their head rattle. I don't know. The only thing I do know is that I get to give my fingers a workout. The person below me actually read that paragraph and did not just skip to this part of the post.

I do if I'm outside. Get me inside, and they come off unless I'm at work. The person below me eats holding their fork in their dominant hand.

If it's about money- Yay! If it's about a guy- Squee! If it's about clean windows- Squeegee! Lima beans or nectarines?

Note to Commodore: #22 will brand you with the Lebda Curse. This is the guy with Bozo hair and they're worried about people thinking he's s clown? Come on. Here's what you do, Mike: 1) Pick a charity (children's hospitals are the best- everyone loves to help kids) 2) Announce that if $64,000 in donations come in by the day before TC that you will wear #64. 3) Get Boyer to make you up that jersey. 4) Keep an eye on the donations. If it doesn't get there, go the "Aw, shucks, I wanted to wear that number. Here's the rest of the money" route. (Get help if it's a lot and you don't want to pay it all.) 5) Wear the number. You have raised money for a nice charity, endeared yourself to Detroit, and given the beat reporters and out-of-town media looking for a story something to talk about besides how old our players are, how we buy our Cups, and how we're a bunch of soft Euros. If they are looking for a hockey story, we have Hank, Pav, and Lids to fill in the "actual story about actual hockey talent" market.

There's a nice interactive one here. As to Drew D (the actual DD), it would be nice to have him here, but I don't see him at the trade deadline. The Kings will probably still be in the playoff hunt then. I don't think they'll be looking to sell. Beyond that will depend on his intent to stay with the Kings vs. his intent to seek money elsewhere. Detroit is not the place players who want big paydays come to roost. As much as I'd love him, I don't see it happening. I could easily be wrong, in which case, I'll gladly wear a DD t-shirt. I will not, however, post pics.
-
It would be nice if we could call him C64. It's nice and sounds so much better than "Commy" or "Comode" for short.

You know, I can't think of a single person. The person below me has large feet.

The reactions to Kronwall were what prompted my screen name. I wasn't around when he signed the contract, but after he had a couple of booboos, people were so livid with Kenny for spending 3m/year on him. Inflation will continue. Contracts will keep edging higher. Ericsson is the next step. When Kronner and Stuie sign, it will be higher, and so on as people keep signing. With each contract, the numbers will get bigger. I used to work for $3.25/hr. Now I work for somewhere around $11. (Is it terrible that I don't know how much I make?) I am due for a raise this month. Each job has paid higher. Each job has increased over time. Ericsson's $3.25 hit will look like small potatoes for a player of his caliber by the end of it. True, he's overpaid now. I'm sure Jimmy's next contract will be much bigger as well. There will always be 1 yr/~$1m contracts to fill in the holes, but even those will become more on the over side of 1m than the under side. Some people will freak out no matter the numbers and no matter who the player. It's all relative to who the player is, what the numbers are, and who the person is.

Didn't Lilja tweeter during games when he was out with his concussion? They were ok with that. Or maybe it was some other form of communication.
