I'm getting lost in all of the techno-talk here, but did you just imply that our new defenseman has a 5.25" floppy? How on earth would you know about that? On second thought... never mind.

A nut? No. OCD? Maybe. The person below me has purposely grown facial hair.

It depends on where in town I am. If it's in a busy area, I go crosswalk. Oink or Baa?
-
Hudler wears heels?

Admits? You say it like there's something wrong with it! Doesn't one of life's little pleasures deserve to be publicly embraced? It's not like we're admitting that we have a watching-the-neighbour-clip-his-toenails fetish. The person below me will now tell us about their odd fetish.

Starbursts. Okrahoma or Corntucky?

Ok, then. I guess if you intended it, then there isn't a whole lot I can say on your behalf. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps it would be best to let this go.

Yeah, I can see that for the kids, but lots of players go "home" during the offseason, or at least back for a visit to see the family, so it's not like the kids haven't been exposed to the language and culture. Kids adapt much more easily than adults. Unless the kid was old enough to stay here on their own, or perhaps with relatives for a short while (like finishing high school), it wouldn't really be an issue. They're not the ones looking for work.

They have rehab for being an idiot? Wow. Got a source for this info? Not doubting the idiot part.

In a lot of cases, including this one, it is close to home. It's different going to another continent if you know the language and the culture. It was probably a lot harder for him to come here than it will be to go back. If you can't get a good job where you're living, why not go home? He played in the Russian Elite League in his hometown (Minsk, Belarus) before coming to the NHL. Now that he's getting older, why not go back to a Russian league? Sometimes things come full circle.

I wonder if his family is going along this time. I understand his wife not wanting to travel whilst pregnant this year. Best of luck to him. He certainly seemed like a nice enough person.

I'd try to plan in advance and plan as much as possible together with both giving input, but in the end, the one with the keys rules. More annoying: Insomnia or munchies?

Mmmmm... yes, please. The person below me shares their food with their pet.

It's kind of an accepted risk that one takes when one posts one's photo on the internet. People will make rude comments, photoshop, or change things in an effort to be humourous. It's too bad that this includes photos posted amongst fellow fans. Such things are best saved for friends in a less public setting or with their pre-approval. I'm assuming it was just an error in judgment,

Whatchutalkin'bout meaner? They ditched Kopecky! Besides, our power play will get them right where it hurts. Or something. Or maybe one of the new guys will actually fight. Or we get Downey back at the deadline. Or they won't make the playoffs and we'll respond by just laughing at them. That would be cool. They have taken another step waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down this offseason. They got pretty far this year. Much further than I would have thought they would. They still have talent, but there's only so much the Core can do. Plus we have Kronner to Havsplat them. Stuie does some good hitting. The new guys aren't exactly pansies. And Pavel can embarrass them with his puck work. As long as they don't concuss us or anything, it's the final score that counts. As a fight slappie, it hurts to say that, but unfortunately we can only play with what we have.

I worked until 6 this morning, and will be back at 6 tonight. Same old routine. The person below me has left over fireworks.

Oh, man. You'd have to get down with the specifics on that. I'm really craving some s/s chicken right now. But donuts sound good too. Brownies: With nuts or without?
-
So they look alike. No need to "fix" the post. That's a step different from commenting.

That was me yesterday. I did mow and do dishes, and I swept the kitchen floor, but beyond that- nada. Clothes still in a basket in the living room. Stuff still piled on the couch. Terrible lazy, I am. The person below me lives in a state where fireworks are legal.

Ceiling. I can spell it. Chocolate or strawberry ice cream?

Just for fun, I googled a couple of people around here, including Loo. I guess it can be a blessing or a curse to have an unusual last name. I also found a newspaper article on my uncle's death in 1947. They had him listed as 10 years old. He was actually 19. That typo was never corrected. Oddly enough, the article I found was from a paper in Ohio where my great-aunt lived. It was stating that her nephew had died. Nothing came up from a Detroit paper. Lots of odd stuff out there if you've never met anyone with your last name outside of your parents and siblings and grandmother.

4 out of 5 dental hygienists surveyed prefer to put a toothbrush in Avery's mouth.

So I was googling randomly. It started with trying to remember something about my grandfather's navy career, and then it went on to googling relatives. All of my family is listed multiple times. Both of my sisters have PhD's and have stuff published. The only 3 things I found on my name were: 1) phone directory 2) list of people who have been registered for a PharmTech license 3) petition to have Larry Aurie's number retired. Wow. That's my life in a nutshell. I'm so dull.

Agreed. Hudler is a Wing, and once the season starts, he is one of us. I will cheer him on, delight in his glory, share his dejection in his shame, and hope against all hope that he will prove that he is worthy of the title of Red Wing. Until then, I look for better options. As you might guess, I generally hate mid-season trades.

Lebda wore 22 for us. I'm not sure what he wore for the Leafs, but I'm pretty sure he won't be getting 22 in Nashville.
