Not sure if this has been suggested (probably has) but I was thinking the other night. How about 5 on 5 for 5 minutes, followed by 4 on 4 for 5 minutes. The winner gets 2 points, the loser gets 0. Just like a regular game. Then take it to the shootout. Winner gets one point; loser gets 0. There's plenty of time to win the thing for real, but if not, then the winner doesn't get full credit for winning in a skill show. The game is only worth one point, but I'd rather see that than the 3 point games going on now. Instead of saying "hey! You made it out of regulation! Everyone's a winner!" we are now saying, "hey! You had over an hour to make it happen and you didn't. Someone's a loser and someone else is a bigger loser."

Probably hostile once they meet us. Before that, they might be friendly, but earth people are so rude. We can only hope that they land in some remote area and are greeted by a big, friendly dog. Major or minor?

The whole diversity thing just grates on me. I see too many people who judge by colour of skin in a negative way. Just let people be themselves and don't pay attention to their looks- that's what I think.

I've just learned that any thread started after a loss which involves certain key words is only worth my time if I am bored out of my skull.

They come from different backgrounds and different countries, but they are all white. The Politically Correct crowd (which dictates what everyone should think) does not accept diversity of culture. They only care about the colour of one's skin. In other words, two people who look different, but have exactly the same upbringing, habits, culture, language, history, and may have been raised next door to each other are "diverse" if they have different skin colours, but two people from opposite ends of the earth who have nothing in common except for skin colour are not. And we wonder why racism still prevails.

I didn't get to see the last game as I was working, but my Mom said that "the Wings looked like when we play other teams and the Stars looked like the Wings usually do". Translation: Wings played badly. Stars played well. It's usually the other way around. Here's hoping that the Wings are able to overcome the short bench and win this one. They need to have it sewn up by the end of the second because I have to go to work and I don't want to have to worry about them. My pre-game meal: Mac n cheese. Wings: 17 (everyone save the goalies) Yotes: 0 (since they don't have Lang anymore)

We have fans in Canada and in Australia. We are bi-polar. I don't mind when people are disappointed in a player or in the team as long as they realize that everyone has bad days, and that sometimes when one person has a bad day it effects everyone on the team. If someone says "so-and-so had a bad game" or "so-and-so has looked like he's injured or something" and they have something to back it up, that's cool. The ones that salt my cheerios are the ones who complain about a player for not being more than that player is expected to be, or won't give a guy a break if he has a single off game. The ones I want to smack are the ones who either hate one player or like one so much that they cut down other ones to make theirs look good.
