Ah. Thank you. I had a guy come into the C store last weekend. His credit card wouldn't work, so he had to use another one. He was wondering why we couldn't get that one to swipe. I saw he was wearing a Spartans shirt and told him that was the problem; his shirt wasn't blue. He looked at me kind of oddly.

I am actually enjoying this. I know that there are fans there who never thought they'd live to see the day the team won a Cup. Kind of like the Wings fans in 97. I'm also happy for Koko and Hossa. It also makes me think that I want to see this in Detroit about this time next year. From what I saw last night, it could happen.

Last time we raised a banner, we played (and lost to) the Leafs. I don't remember if they were on the ice or not.

I remember that fight. It was the night of my dad's funeral, and I yelled into the kitchen to my mom that Hossa was fighting and she left all my knitting, southern redneck aunts to run in and watch a hockey fight. Then she went back and was all, "Oh, I just don't like it when they fight. I get so worried that one of them will get hurt. We just got that Hossa boy this year. I really like him..." My aunts thought she was nuts. I don't think that anyone who has played with or against Datsyuk can help but be in awe of him.

Always leave early. (Really Jack- no cords? When I was a girl, we weren't allowed to wear jeans to school, so we got out of having to wear dresses or polyester by wearing cords. They rubbed together when you walked and if you were rotund, they wore out between the legs really fast, but before they did, they made an annoying rubbing sound.) Parachute pants or painter pants?

Life. Always disappointing. Although I've had 2 people in the last 24 hours hand me money for doing them a favour for which I did not expect payment/reimbursement, so that is good. The person below me knows whose birthday it is today.
