"... So I said, 'Sidney, if the towels aren't hot enough, I'm giving your trophy to Alex.' and he told me that he could win it on his own. I laughed, but the darndest thing happened. Right after I called you and told you to give it to Alex I got bumped in the head by a penis- hard! No, the bump was hard, not, well now that you mention it... Anyway back to the trophy. The guy who bumped me said it wasn't his fault; that it was a matter of physics. He's 6'6", you see. Yeah, really. What? You just mind your own beeswax, mister. That's for me to know and for you to find out. "And so I really need you to re-engrave that Hartford Whales trophy. What? Oh, sorry. Prince of Wales. I don't know these hockey things, man. I'm just in it for the money. Yeah, it can wait until you get back from your trip to Vegas- just don't forget to do it or we'll both be embarrassed. Right...Flyers. Thanks, and this conversation never happened, right? Right."

My sister and I were walking through the grocery store when I noticed something that freaked me out. My sister thought it was odd too. It's called "suddenly salad". What? Is that even legal? What if someone dumps it in your car? You're driving along and your brake lines are suddenly salad. How would you stop? Even if it didn't go to that extreme, should it really be sudden? Shouldn't there be a process? Like you start with vegetables, and then add stuff like dressing and perhaps some croutons? Even if you just dump some ranch on a head of iceberg, is it really "suddenly salad"? Sure it was dressing and lettuce a second before you put one on the other, but is that a shock? Like you didn't expect it to become salad? What were you expecting? Sandpaper? And why would you need to buy something to make it suddenly salad? It happened all on its own once you did the pouring. You made the salad. You are the saladmaster. You do not need a box to make salad, although you might want to work on your speed- you know, perhaps transfer the dressing into a pitcher so it pours faster and you can amaze your friends with the suddenness of your salad. Or something. This product really worries me now. This is my random thought.

I think they were going for looks rather than talent. Odd, though that Koko looks like an alien and Pavel is looking quite Earthly.

What Current NHL Players are Locks for the Hall of Fame?
55fan replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
I don't think Guerin will actually get in. I was just thinking of who was still playing that might be in contention other than the ones GMR listed. I was pretty much scraping the bottom of the barrel. But since you asked... the things that made me think of him are: First Latino in the NHL Only player with 20 goal seasons with 7 different teams Stanley Cups, Olympic Silver, World Cup, and all-star appearances (2000-1 MVP) plus having been a captain (albeit for only 2 years) In short, he's not HOF material, but he sure did have a better career than a lot of guys. -
I liked him too. Here's wishing him well in his life after hockey.

No thanks. I'm not that ambitious. The person below me wishes they could still throw a temper tantrum to get their way.

Never tried an electronic one. Real ones have been my best friend for over 30 years, except that I ran out in Feb and haven't bothered to get more. I usually just do the Snus now. But I still love them, even if I haven't had the time or money for them. They've been there for me rain or shine, in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, and are more reliable and relaxing than humans. They also fit nicely in my purse, which humans tend not to do. Fight with a person, or fight with a computer?
-
Not really, but I do like credit when it's due. The person below me likes cooking for a crowd.

Tough. Depends on the song. Barry Manilow or the Carpenters?

Let's find out... ah-1...ah-2...ah-3. 3.

No. Fall is busy and has obligations and there are things that I haven't done yet this summer that have to get done. The person below me is really hot.

Tell someone you love them whilst not getting into the argument that I didn't get into today. The person below me feeds wild animals (not counting being bitten by mosquitoes).

Make a list. I have a bad...something. Spray cleaner or wipes?

You can't see it in the light of those pics, but her eyes are actually bright blue. Here she is with her favourite "toy"- dad's phone. Here's his goofy grin. Funny photo. He has nothing in his mouth- it's a trick of the light.

Game shows. I used to watch soaps, but you have to keep up with them. Too much emotional investment for me. Leprechauns or Yeti?
-
It was average. The person below me prefers solitude to noise.

I finally got to meet my cousin's kids. They're adorable. That's the only one I got of William not making a goofy face, and I couldn't get Elizabeth to smile for anything. Usually she gave me attitude.

I've never been to the place, although there is one within a mile of my house. I don't like anything spicier than ketsup, so I don't think I'd like the Wings at all. The person below me has been a call girl.

Mole. Rashes itch. Cheer for the Leafs or cheer for the Ducks

Not sure. I think there are enough other animals with lips that can't whistle- including some people- that we can safely guess that they couldn't, but since they've never been given the chance, I will not give that a 100% "no".

As a Lilja fan, this is sad for me as it now looks like he will not be returning to us. I wish him happiness wherever he goes. Salei has not caught my attention in the NHL, but he did catch my attention during the Olympics. I think that since players put it all on the line during the Olympics, that this is a better indicator of how someone plays during the playoffs than the regular season. That said, if he is playing as a bottom pair guy, he really can't hurt us too much if he is just consistent and steady with no intellectual interludes. If he brings it in the big games, he will do well in the playoffs. I'm trusting Babcock on this one. He knows better than anyone. EDIT to add: Off to find Edi and share a bottle of something that will knock our livers to San Jose or further.

I like the honour roll idea. Retirement should be saved for the select few. It would also be nice to do something to honour Probie's memory.
