Somewhat of a random thought, but related nonetheless: Suppose that they are planning to be cap-compliant by sending Huet and/or Campbell to the minors. There's a rule which states that an injured player can't be sent down. Now this won't hurt whilst the player is on LTIR, but before they can send him down, they have to return him to the roster and be cap-compliant with him there. Then they can send him down. That would take some wiggling. I bet Huet gets treated like he's made of glass at camp.
