Watch what you eat at Detroit Area Pro Sporting Events

No particular horror stories. Just imagine the next time that you are cooking in your home what would happen if inspectors came in. The rules are strict for a reason, and they change a lot. I once worked in a place where we got cited for storing the ice scoop in a bucket next to the machine. Code was that it had to be stored in the machine so that it wouldn't bring in contaminants from the surrounding area. The next year we were cited for storing the scoop in the machine. Code was that it had to be stored next to the machine so that it wouldn't contaminate the inside of the machine. Yeah, the code reversed itself twice in two years. You don't find these things out until the inspector arrives. No biggie if a place has an infraction or two, unless it is a major one. I'll bet that the guy scooping ice with his hands was a bartender. I've seen it done many times in bars. One final thought, now that I've settled your stomachs... think of how many teenage kids work in fast food. 'Nuf said. -
Good to see there are a few kids left who are willing to stand up for themselves instead of crying to mommy. We wring our hands about their self-esteem, but don't let them grow their own balls (or ****) and then wonder why we have crybabies. Let the boys be boys, teach them to do it responsibly; and when they're men, they'll be real men.

I've worked many, many years in food service. This is minor. Just saying. -
Nope. I'll be taking my vacation the first two weeks of August. Going to mom's. The person below me does not understand why people like sour candy.
-
Boy, that's a tough call and depends totally on the type of either. Blueberry either way will sway me over the others, with blueberry bagels taking a slight edge over blueberry muffins. When the power is out: Candles or flashlight?
-
Don't forget Langer. He was an Olympic medalist too! Edit: I need a better shot of that. Anyway, left to right- Lang, Sammy, Nik, Nick, Homer, Hank
-
I Can't Stand It- Eric Clapton
-
Tough call, but I'll say SunnyD. Less prep mess. Corn or peas?
-
Actually my sister (who is bi-polar and schizo-effective) has stated that the difference between us is that she's been diagnosed. No clue about whether or not I could stand trial, although I'm guessing I could. Or I could pull a Klinger and show up in a dress... The person below me wears tights in the winter.

Since they've lost the title of Second City (population-wise) to LA, they aren't second in anything. Now that they have a Cup, they want to be the second city to use the Hockeytown idea. The tie-in with the Hawks works nicely. They get the joy of winning with the security of hanging on to the coattails of the original. EDIT to add: And think of the money they save by not having to come up with something original! Not only do they get points from the Green People for recycling, they also get some money to buy nice things for the players they are trying to woo despite having to offer low salaries. That's a lot of pizza, dogs, and whatever else they eat there.

That's what it's all about. The person below me is dreading grocery shopping.
-
Swim. They don't get hair clogs. Shrink or expand?
-
Oh, yes. Especially vanilla. I love vanilla. I've heard that the green people frown on that, but I say fruit the green people. The person below me says fruit the green people.

I knew that post would bring you flying out of the woodwork! Here you go! LOL at the comment about Kopecky as flower girl!
-
Nope. The person below me takes produce when it is offered for free from people who raise their own stuff and then have too much.
-
Never been to Disney. Loved Cedar Point as a child. Whales or sharks?
-
Usually fries. Rice or noodles?
-
I'd have liked to have met my uncle John. There are other relatives that have gone before, but I think I'd have liked John. And my great-great grandma, Ollie Mayfield. She was a hillbilly redneck chick to beat all hillbilly redneck chicks. The person below me has never touched alcohol.

Open Arms- Journey

Nope. The family is all at mom's at the moment. She had her knee replaced, so the sister from Illinois and I are taking turns staying with her. Sis gets the first 2 weeks, I get the next two. The person below me has had their stomach growl so loudly that it was audible across the room.

Wet grass. Silence or radio/tv mindlessly playing in the background.

It's not so much that they think only of themselves, but that they only think from their perspective rather than a broader view. People don't think in the theoretical or of the big picture. Example: If you found a bank envelope in the rest room of a convenience store that had $5000 cash and the receipt, would you take it to the bank so they could trace the person and give them their cash back, or would you keep it yourself? The broad view is that the money belongs to that person and that person- whether they need it or not- is the rightful owner. There is a rightful owner. That money has its rightful place in the universe. The modern view is to look only at how if effects you, not the person who lost it. That view doesn't take others into consideration and upsets the balance of the universe. The person below me would return the money in the above scenario.

Bottle if I'm taking it somewhere. Pizza or chicken?
-
Hurricane. We don't have them here. White or whole wheat?

Work. Woo. The person below me has a cell phone.
