You Don't Have to be a Star- Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr.

Vernor's. There is only one place in Fargo that you can get it due to distribution west of the Mississippi. It's considered an import here. I grew up only getting it when we went to Ohio. We'd bring back some. I have an old Vernor's thermometer in my kitchen. I'm pretty sure it's from the '50s. Simple answer or babble endlessly?

The Wings did it first. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The #25 is the kicker. Very odd.

Ah, gotcha. I was just looking at the thread. In many ways, he is still the best, but in others age has taken its toll. He may not be the best overall, but he is still the best in a lot of areas. No surprise that he wasn't nominated, but not ready to be put out to pasture yet either.

Not at all. Just looking for a rich hottie who will be gone soon so I can inherit. Just for the record- this is a joke. I have a wonderful bf who is neither rich, old nor hot, but I love him dearly.

To whom are you replying? I only saw one post that thought that Lids was maybe a third-place choice. The rest of us just think he's a great d-man whose play may not be what it was when he was young, but is still a fantastic player who we would take over pretty much anyone in a heartbeat. That he is not a Norris contender is not a statement that he is no good, nor are we upset about this. As you say, it's a changing of the guard. Nick still brings leadership, hockey smarts, grace under fire, and a very high level of play. No homer glasses here.

Are you male, rich, over 95 years old, and look like Nik Kronwall?

Pronger would have gone for his knees and given him an elbow to the head. It's physics, you see. When he bends down that far to reach the kid's knees, it brings his elbow down to the level of the kid's head. It's not his fault that he's 6'6".

Detroit: Homer, Stuie. Dats Them: Aucoin

Pronger would have tried to take out the kid's knees.

I might work out- or I might work in. Either way, I have a lot of work to do. The person below me makes foolish decisions with their "extra" money.

Freezing on a hard surface with bugs and small animals, or taking a nice long bath, watching tv, and sleeping in a nice big bed with someone else cleaning up after you? Yeah. Give me a motel any day. Velvet or suede?
-
I didn't check my mail. I only do that 2-3 times/month unless I'm expecting something. The person below me gets hot and/or cold easily.

I could use about 401K right now. I leave the IRA alone. Never trust the Irish. Which do you do first in the morning: Pee or brush your teeth?

Everyone in even numbered sections should shout "Jimmy" and those in odd numbered sections should shout "Howard". Get it alternating. It'll be like having a cheer in stereo.

After seeing that Claude video, my love for the Dominator has tripled. Great job, Dom. The only thing better than doing what you love is doing what you love and being good at it. Dom is a very lucky man in that respect.

I like Jimmy because when fans from other teams razz a goalie, they chant his last name. Sometimes chanting first names can be awkward (imagine "Chris! Chris! Chris!") but Jimmy just sounds natural to chant in support of the guy. Either way, he knows we like him and appreciate what he's done for us this year, and that's what matters.

Do you have a link to the whole thing? It sounds painfully funny.

I clicked Lemeiux, but if I had one for each fist, I'd go Pronger. Douchecanoe. I don't get the wanting to punch Sidney. It's not like he has actually hurt anyone. Or could if he tried. Save the punches for real pricks- you only get one vote. For Crosby, steal his My Little Pony lunchbox or something.

From the Chris Pronger's Handy Book of Hockey Physics: Snow and ice are really just frozen water. When ice and snow melt, they turn into water. The body is 98% water. When you sweat, you lose water. The kid was probably hot in that outfit, and was probably sweating. Ovi was just returning what the kid had lost. It's physics.

Yes, but only for a half-day. We do three 12-hour shifts and a 6. Take out the 1/2 hour lunch breaks and you have 40 hours. The person below me has an extra part time job. (Did you know that ND leads the nation in people working more than one job? Where I come from, I'm normal!)
