Beer batter. Hold hands or arm around waist/shoulder?

We Are the World- a whole bunch of people

Soft ones. Warm, if possible. No mustard anywhere near them, but if you have some cheese, I'll take it. You're on the phone and have to pee: Ask the person to hang on a minute, ask to call them back, or just go and hope they don't hear it? (Assume for the last one that you have a cordless phone.)

No, but I kind of look like it. The person below me has been boosting reputation points for friends that are getting needlessly hit by those who are abusing the system. (Side note: The flooding here in Fargo is not going to effect me. It is not as bad as last year, but since we learned from last year what to do, things are running smoothly this year and a lot of what was in place from last year is still here and working well for us. Thanks for asking, Steve!)

Made my first downpayment. +1 credited to your account. Get'r done, Kenny!

That would be Detroit form. I hope tonight his teammates are gathered around him, patting him on the back, and saying, "Hey, the Red Wings are tough. Don't let this get you down. You'll do better next time."
-
I'm only the first. I'm sure others would/will come up with them and others like them. But since I was first... Royalties, babe. They use; I charge. Anyone who uses them has to bump up my rep by 5 points. That ought to make people think twice. They don't pay- I'll sneak up behind them and zuccar-punch them.

Go to the last page (post #29) and click the "direct link" in one of the posts. It will take you to part one of the interview. Then parts 2 and 3 will load automatically if you wait for them. Lemieux said that he had been hit in a hit similar to Drapes, and broke the same bones, and he did not get an apology, nor did he expect one. He accepted that it was a part of the game. At least he is consistent. I'll give him that. He said he wasn't going to apologize for the hit. He said once a hit has been laid that it is too late and an apology doesn't do any good. The hit is part of the game. You wait for the retaliation and take it. I disagree with that. I think if someone gets injured, you at least check to see if they are ok. Yeah, it's part of the game, and they know that, but you at least extend the courtesy- the human element- even if you would make the same hit again. It's not apologizing for playing the game; it's saying "sorry it turned out bad". Then you wait for the retaliation and take it. There was one time that we were playing St. Louis and Lebda got rocked. I believe it was Drake that hit him, but I could be wrong. Anyway, the one who hit him went to the hospital and sat with Lebda since he wasn't going to be returning to Detroit with the rest of the team. I thought that was classy. That to me is about respecting the game and the other players. Play hard, but remember that they are people too.

...and who will be the first one to complain that "he's lazy and he zuccs". ...or zuccs aas.

That was awesome. Turtle had quite a few things to say that I was glad to hear him say, but I still wish he would have said that he felt bad that Drapes was hurt. He's not sorry that he hit him and he never intended to hurt him- I can respect that. But I'd still like to hear him say that he wishes that the outcome had been different. As much as it pains me, I do have respect for the work Claude has done off the ice with kids with disabilities. His brother was raised in an institution, and Claude never forgot that. I have to respect that even if I hate all of the other stuff. Question for that gals: I don't remember Claude being good-looking at all. Is this old hate or is he getting better with age? Mac rules. Still and always.

Will the Top Team in the West Purposely Lose to Avoid Playing Detroit?

No tanking allowed. You stand the chance of losing home ice advantage down the road- assuming you make it past the first round. -
Girl. Kids will get you arrested. The Pursuit of Happiness or the Happiness of Pursuit?

Feels So Right- Alabama

Actually, since I work, I'm fine with them playing tomorrow. I just wish they were in a different time zone so I could see the whole game. The person below me is dreading work.

Without. Primal scream or burst into tears?

If he's willing to give it a try in GR, we might as well. There is nothing but his salary (which doesn't count against the cap and isn't coming out of my pocket) to lose. If he's hard-working, willing to battle it out and has some hands, I wouldn't worry about his size. The Red Wings are known for growing their own players. Might as well give him a shot.

Not currently, but I do make trips back for a shoulder problem that acts up every once in a while and gives me excruciating headaches. One or two trips back to the chiro, and I'm good as new. The person below me had Lincoln Logs as a child.
-
The person below me. (And I agree with you on anise.) Buttered, cheese, or caramel popcorn?
-
As much as it is probably more of a gimmick than a sign of things to come, it still would be fun and interesting as a one-offer. I went to a game in 3-D once. It was like they were right there on the ice.

On this St. Patrick's Day, who is your favorite Patrick currently
55fan replied to CanadaBoy's topic in General
May first. How pathetic is it that I knew yours and not his? Of course Eaves is my favourite Patrick. None other even comes close.
