Just in case anyone is still looking for Helm and other player shirts
55fan replied to a topic in General
Just like Helm himself. -
Does not compute. Entered data does not compute in the same sentence. As far as Ovie... um, did it really look that bad? It looks like he just pushed the camera (which was in his face as he was speaking on the phone) out of his way. It was rude and uncalled for, but it wasn't like he threw her over a balcony.

Not too beautiful here yet. I'm not an outside person. If it's too cold, my arthritis gets me; if it's rainy/snowy, I get a cold; and if it's sunny, I burn easily. I was made to be within walls. I'm also mildly agorophobic. The person below me is more neurotic than I am... and can prove it.

Beach. Chlorine's unpleasant. You live alone and have bought a "variety pack" of something: Eat the flavours you hate first and get them over with, or throw them out?

You were great last night, Dan. Call me sometime. My biggest concern about playing Chicago in the playoffs is that we beat them last year. There is a bit of a revenge factor there. We didn't play SJ, LA, or Colorado, so in all honesty, I'd rather take them. For some reason- and this is just a feeling I have- I feel that unless a rivalry has been established (like it was with Colorado in the past), the team that knocked you out last year is the team you want to beat this year. Feel free to disagree on that.

That so sucks if he is out for any length of time. He was doing so well. I was loving it. It's like when the nerd in 10th grade shows up the next year with contacts, a tan, a new haircut, a new wardrobe, and buff from working out and pretty much tells everyone to suck it. Get well, Sammy!

Is it Vernor's? Then Ginger-ale. Knowing what bad-mouthing people are saying about you, or being ignorant?

Nope. I'm not sick, nor can I really afford to miss. The person below me likes bran muffins.

Goalies need a breather now and then. It's physically and mentally exhausting. Had it not been for the Olympic break, Ozzie would have been playing more lately. Personally, I think the team in general tends to mentally write off teams like Edmonton, so having Oz in goal may not be the best idea. OTOH, maybe they will respond to having to play in front of a player who hasn't seen the crease in a while. Whatever the reasoning, Howard needs a rest some time in the future, even if it is just a game here and there, if he is to be the go-to guy in the playoffs- which I think is pretty much a foregone conclusion at this point.

They have Stanley Cup Champion Tomas Kopecky. I saw it on their website at the beginning of the season, in big letters: The Chicago Blackhawks welcome Marion Hossa and Stanley Cup Champion Tomas Kopecky. He hasn't had his annual season-ending injury yet. That's how he wins cups. We must hope he stays healthy or we are screwed. /goofiness

This! This! A thousand times: THIS! The ideal goaltending situation is not to have a good goalie. The ideal goaltending situation is to have two good goalies at a very low price. We have the ideal goaltending situation. Do you people (the trade/resign/demote Ozzie people) really think that the last 2 playoff runs are not reason alone to keep him? He's not a regular season player, for some reason. He gets it done in the playoffs. If Howard breaks down or is injured, Ozzie will calmly step up to the plate (so to speak) and deliver. If Howard does well, Ozzie will be there guiding him along, helping him, and providing support and advise. You can't get that level of play in the playoffs, along with that kind of experience and that kind of mentoring, for much cheaper than we have Ozzie for.

Softbaked usually. Here's another body question, Loo... Back rub or foot massage?
-
Probably. We get sad when we lose. Why should they be any different? The person below me has a nagging pain.

Wonderful site, MannyK. Many thanks. Am I the only one who didn't mind the yellow flying V Canucks unis? Ok, maybe I am. I'm also probably the only one who doesn't mind the whole number on the front thing.

Go to work. Go home. Go on LGW. Go to bed. Same as every other weekday. I'd say no big plans. The person below me remembered to set their clock this weekend (if applicable).

In general, sunshine. Plane or train?

Sorry about the last one- I fell asleep at the computer again. zzzzzzzz Anyway... I have several friends that I am concerned about, but no one that is an all-consuming worry. The person below me feels terrible when they screw up, even if no one else knows or is hurt by it. (Gave up chocolate for Lent and ate a brownie yesterday. It didn't hit me until hours later. Arrgh- I hate my stupidity.)

No card, so I guess I'll have to buy it. Since I don't read a lot of books, it's not a big deal. Shovel or mow?

I did a rough draft and should be getting back $13, but I haven't sent it in.

Wow. There's a question... Pie edges cake out ever so slightly. Lemon meringue pie or chicken pot pie?
