  1. He just has something to prove. He has two countries (Sweden and Red Wing Nation) to tell to go... well, you know. I still love the guy except when he's playing against Detroit. Hopefully we won't face him in the playoffs (positive thinking!) so I don't have to root against him, but I will if I have to. My allegiance is still to the Winged Wheel. We sure could have used him this year with all of the injuries, that's for sure, but I doubt Kenny sat down and figured those in last summer when he was crunching numbers.

Yep. My aunt Sue was diagnosed about a year ago. Last summer she was doing so bad that they didn't think she'd ever leave the hospital. By last fall, she was able to go home, and just before Christmas they told her she was in remission. She barely pulled through, but she's a tough Iowa farm girl. The person below me has, at some point in their life, had the habit of chewing their fingernails.

Leaky metal one. This summer I'm hiring it fixed. The last two summers haven't worked out so well having friends fix it, but at the same time, I'm happy that I have friends who will go up on my roof since I'm afraid of heights. Incense or peppermints?

No, but he is responsible for getting things together. I have no idea why they are playing like this, but I think they all need to get together and have a discussion about it. The person below me has been clicking the + and - buttons in the corner of each post.

It has something to do with the French. They provide the bread, mustard, and pronunciation. The person below me has been feeling a disturbance in the Force for the last day or so.

    NHL Martketing Opportunity

I'm sure they're aware. They're just contractually obligated to football. PBS. Everyone gets it. Do a 1-hour documentary of the home country (or state or province) of one of the players, then show the game. It passes as educational and gets the grant and air-time. Everyone wins.

3/9 GDT: Flames 4 at Red Wings 2

Hope so! 9 straight wins would pretty much lock things up. Wings 4: Helm, Lids, Hank, Draper Flames 3: Iginla x3. Just for the novelty of it.

Unfortunately, yes. I get off work at either 6 or 7 in the morning, depending on the day of the week. I get home dog-tired, and poof! Here I am. Wide awake. I have no trouble waking up in the morning. I have trouble falling asleep, which is what I'm supposed to be doing. The person below me has a mean streak when crossed.

I think that reputation thing is just for each post. Or so it seems. I'll have to mess around with it for a while. Prepare for skewed results.

I use my laptop for everything. I do have an old desktop of my sister's, but it has functions that don't work (like you can't put in a disc), so it is my backup for everything. It's not connected to the internet, so it won't get viruses or anything. If the laptop should die, it could connect and fill in until I get a new laptop, but I'd be very careful. I have over 1000 hockey pics. The person below me can't get through a sentence without making a typo.

Oh, goodness, no. The only rear end around here that's getting kicked is mine. This stupid cold is back and now is in my chest. I haven't had a smoke in 3 weeks and I'm still hacking up crap. Plus the fever/chills are back. Nope, no butt kicking here. ("Unchained Melody" is the one that goes "Oh, my love, my darling, I hunger for your touch" and the note I cringe on is when they sing "I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed your love. IIIIIII neeeeeeed your love". It's actually a pretty song otherwise.) Anyway, the person below me knows someone who is much taller or shorter than average.

Reward offered for return of Crosby's Olympic gear

Update: Stick and gloves still missing. Jockstrap found in the bed of someone still unidentified, but referred to by an anonymous source as "Harry Fettman". The NHL is investigating. If they find the stuff, how would they be able to authenticate that it was his stick and gloves from that game? Just curious. I've always wondered that with game pucks and that sort of thing.

That doesn't worry me a bit. The person below me cringes on the high notes of "Unchained Melody".

That is seriously a tough call. Mozart was obviously better for operas, and had quite the sense of humour. Beethoven had some seriously delightful piano sonatas. Symphonies were a toss-up, although Mozart was more prolific. I'll give Ludwig the slight edge. Beaker singing the 4th movement of the 9th symphony puts him over the edge. Frank Sinatra or Bing Crosby?
