Different people grieve differently. For some, the return to work is a needed outlet for energy, for the support of co-workers, or for a feeling of normalcy in times that have turned one's world upside down. For others, more time is needed away from the stress of daily life. I hope that Burke's staff is able to run things either with or without him as needed so that he can focus on what's important right now- his family. It is a busy time for him with the trades/trade deadline and the Olympics looming. Whatever he chooses, it is a highly personal decision and should be respected.

May was pretty much intended to be in GR anyway, wasn't he? I think he'll go back down and finish the season. This made me think of a hypothetical question. I realize that it won't happen to our team this year, but in theory, what would happen if a guy played say, 50 games, and then retired and his team went on to win the Cup. Would he still get his name on it? He'd be over the required number, but he wouldn't be on the team. How does that work?

I have paneling. I'm thinking of going over it with kilz and painting, but it just seems like a lot of work, and replacing panels is way out of my budget. I'm thinking that the paneling stays for now. The person below me has big feet.

He took 6 to play at home. He could have gotten more elsewhere. Still, I think he's overpaid in comparison to what the others on our team are making for what he does in comparison to them. I like Raffy, but if he had been a FA last summer, no way would he have gotten 6.
