YES! We scored a PP! Go Willy!

Thank you posts and Jimmy.

For those of you who can't get drum's stream or don't have IE, there's a stream here. The pic's crap, but it's better than nothing. Go Wings!

When Lilja comes back (that is so good to say!) I'd like to see him with Big Jon. Lills is a defensive player- most notably with his shot blocking- and Ericsson is a former forward. Paired with Lebda, Ericsson has looked lost and his rookie mistakes are more glaring. Paired with a more stay-at-home type like Lilja, E has someone to cover for him as he is learning, and someone who is more responsible. Maybe this will free up E a bit and allow for his offensive side to show whilst learning to make better decisions and gaining experience. At least that's what I hope.

Don't be too proud of this strategical terror you've constructed. If the Predators have obtained a complete strategical reading of our power play, it is possible, however unlikely, they might find a weakness and exploit it. I'm not sold on Willie yet, but I wasn't sold on Bert, and look how well that turned out.

It's hard to be gloomy when you're around. Doomy and bashy, maybe, but not gloomy. Go Wings!

I have a PC, my sister has a Mac. I found it hard to navigate, but I'm sure if I got used to it, it would be fine. The person below me hates commercials for companies that think that by making the competition look stupid that it makes them look better.

I meant no offense by my comment. Just the word "size" in a goalie thread reminded me of it. You are right that one has to be athletic. I cringe when I see them do some of the versions of the splits that they do. That's gotta hurt. Height, all other things being equal, would give an advantage, but I think that there are so many other factors that I wouldn't consider it when drafting/trading unless the two goalies that I was comparing were similar in most every other point.

You can check out his website here. It's in Swedish, so you'll need a translator, but there are some cool pics. Sheri found it; I'm just passing it along.

I like how, despite not having won a Stanley Cup, they have been supported in their community as well as the Penguins have been supported in theirs in the last half-decade.

Immediately before leaving the crease at the end of the first period, Jimmy will pull out a jar of mayonaise that he has had stashed in his pads and lube up the inside of the posts. During the second period, all Red Wings shots that hit the post will slide right in. Immediately before the start of the third, Jimmy will remove the mayo. Red Wings win 6-2. All Wings goals come in the second period. After the game, officials attempt to question Howard about the white residue on his jersey, but he eludes detection by claiming that victories are so rare nowdays that he was just over-excited.

This reminds me of the old thread where we wondered if a morbidly obese goalie who could fill the net would be a good idea.

I have a nice mold. I got it from my mom. I made jello in it once for a church dinner, but it's usually too much trouble. I also used it to make ice for a punch bowl and it turned out really pretty. Mildew, on the other hand, makes lousy jello. The person below me has thrown a spitball at a teacher.

Shower, except when I had one of those old claw foot tubs- then bubble baths were heaven. Now mine's too shallow. Headache or sore feet?

Untoasted. I like the blueberry ones right out of the bag, and the plain ones nuked with butter. The person below me has gone to a website to look up one little thing, and ended up spending a couple of hours there reading.

Thinking and thinking and still can't top Octopus Gardens.

Occasional swearing in times of elation or anger is understandable, and I'm glad that you don't go about randomly cussing at people. I'm all for Freedom of Speech and the free exchange of ideas, but if it is not done in a civil manner, it becomes a mere shouting match and does nothing to promote whatever ideas are put forth. The Constitution gives one the right. Wisdom gives one the right decision.

First period- Wings: Lids, Flip. Wild:Koivu Second period- Wings: Kronner, Dats, Hank. Wild:0 Third period- Wings: Helm, Hank, Drapes, Tuzzi, Raffy. Wild:0 When asked his secret to winning, Babs is stunned. He has no idea that the Wings were ever ahead. Further research finds that Steve Yzerman has again come to the rescue of the Wings by placing a hologram image of an official waiving off all of the Wings goals in front of the bench, causing the team to play a full 60 minutes and not sit back on a lead. EDIT: Hockeytown0001, you read my mind! Too bad I took so long coming up with this or I'd have beaten you to the punch. Great minds think alike, eh?

Those are some splendid shots. Do you mind if we rightclicksave them?

This. Time and place, people. Sure, there's going to be swearing from the players on the ice, and yelling, "s***" or "f***" after either of the last 2 of the Yotes' goals last night would be perfectly understandable, but people who think that they can say anything at any time are just rude. I don't know how many times I've been addressed as "*****" at the convenience store where I work, or been cussed at by customers because they couldn't find the "******* bathrooms in this ******* s***hole". Why? What's the point? Do you have no other vocabulary? Are you that intellectually limited that you can't find any other words? I have no problem swearing around my friends who swear, and I keep it clean around my friends who don't. If you're at a game with kids or very old people, it's better to err on the side of caution and assume that some of those people don't wish to hear a constant stream of swear words. The world would be a better place if people had more compassion and empathy. Rudeness is neither. As to the topic- I've only had good experiences (only gone to Wild games as they are the closest), but even in my Wings gear, people have been great there. I did want to kill the guys behind me at "Revenge of the Sith". I took my Godson, who is a SW freak, and the guys behind us had seen it before and spent the whole movie going, "Watch this! This is cool!" etc.

I can't believe I don't have one of him shirtless. This might help prove your point. He looks pretty buff.

Gordie was great at scoring, but was also tough enough and brave enough to fight. Considering that he is best known for his scoring prowess, I think it makes sense that the GHHT has 2 parts scoring and 1 part toughness. I also think that it is an honour to have something like that named after him.

Snow day from work! Great day! The person below me likes watching shows on tv that are about the story behind common things.

Pronger. This is actually understandable. He is my most-hated player in the NHL, and I have low self-esteem. I'm going off somewhere to drown my sorrows in booze.
