I nuked some pizza rolls and ate a banana. Does that count? What? Am I not special? Ok. The person below me plants flowers.

Believe me, I'm deliriously happy to be wrong- both about Mickey and Lilja. So Kenny was playing his cards close to the vest, so to speak. I can see that. If he's trying to negotiate a trade, it's better not to let other teams know that we need to move someone as opposed to wanting to move someone. Happy and delighted. Pass the crow, and may I please have a side of fries with it?

You know it! Even if Kronner can't lay the big hits right away, he is still improving his hockey sense and is learning not to make the dumb plays that come with being a rookie (see JonE- I'm sure he'll outgrow them too). Kronner's offensive abilities will boost the PP, and if he can keep up his defensive play on the PK, I'm more than willing to wait to see more of the KRONWALLED! type hits. Lilja- wow. I'm moist. I had almost given up hope for him. Good to see the rest of the guys coming back too.

It looked to me like he was going for Stevie's knees. I'll have to watch it again, but I've heard others with that opinion. It certainly isn't a point that can't be argued as only Pronger knows for sure, and I'm betting he would have better sense than to say that he did it on purpose. IIRC, Burke did say physics first, but Pronger used it and laughed about it. It was something like, "hey, I'm 6'6", I can't control where my elbows go". I remember ripping on him that he's had those elbows for a while- it's not like the equipment manager had brought them in the day before. I also remember because I got a free drink in a bar when he said it. Bartender was a friend and I went so nuts, he told me if I settled down, he'd buy me a drink; otherwise he was kicking me out. He's a hockey fan, so he gets it. Sid's the face of the NHL; Bettman's the other end. Those 2 body parts should not be so close to each other.

No dogs here. I have had them, and loved them. The person below me finishes their entire bottle when they drink (as opposed to leaving that last swallow every freaking time).

Um, I'm biased. 3 is also a beautiful number, but the Powers of Murph and Kronner together are greater than a single Lilja, if only due to a great number of pounds with identical pound/greatness ratios. That's kind of like asking- Richest date of preferred gender on the planet who is also rather nice, or nicest date who is also rather rich?

Saints, mostly for Jack and because they haven't won it before. Ride the zamboni or watch the game from the rafters?

Never. The person below me has wanted to rub the head of a bald stranger for luck.

I'm posting this at 2:42 am (my time), but yes, I will probably be in bed before 6 or 7, which is a couple of hours early for me. The person below me wears a nightgown to bed.

Practice jersey. Who's he gonna fight?

Motrin FTW. Lemon drops or peppermnt discs?

I'm not nervous. I've had the same job for years. I'm not nervous for you either. You'll be just fine. Just remember- no one knows everything on their first day. The person below me would like to add to the "Go Dawn!" cheering.

I don't wish injury on anyone, although if it happens to a guy when he's trying to hurt someone else, I laugh. I'll go with the loss. Fish or chicken?
-
Nope. I think he's a player who loves the game and wants to play, but is old and doesn't know what to do with himself. Neither do teams in the offseason. The person below me hates that jumping robot the NFL uses in its promos.

Kristi (ChelisChick) put this one up on the Hot Wings thread. I made it into a motivational poster. It's a beauty.

As much as I want Stevie to stay, he has to do what is right for him and his family, and that is a decision only he and his wife can make. That said, STAY, STEVIE, STAY!

INstigator. INtent to blow. INconsistent officiating. Are you IN?

Zetterborg! Very cool. Love it.

Alien Vikings or Saints (typing as they kick off)?

I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around that. The best I can do is imagine Crosby saying, "I'm a bad, bad boy! Spank me! Spank me hard! Ooh! Harder!"

I am curious about that. I've always wanted to be a test subject for a government or university experiment trying to verify or debunk the expression "Money can't buy happiness." I did buy a lottery ticket today because I was reading the projected amounts and instead of "Powerball 76 million", I read it "Powerball Miller76". I figured that was good luck if I ever saw it, so maybe next week I'll tell you folks what it's like to be as rich as a Wing. The person below me buys lottery tickets.

I hope you're right. Really. I love Mickey, and my mom thinks he's handsome. He's kind of like the Uncle of the Wings family.

Cindy has never gone for the Captain's knees (or any body part he knew to be weak) with intent to injure. Cindy has never blamed physics for, putting someone's head into the glass and laughed about it. I make fun of Cindy, just because it is the in thing to do. I actually like the guy and feel he will grow into the role into which he has been thrust. I respect his talent. His mistakes are just that- mistakes. Bad hockey etiquette, Bettman-fed opinions- those are annoying. He's not a villain. I hate Pronger. Yeah, he's got talent. That's it.

I want Lilja back so bad I can taste it. (Caramel with a hint of vanilla, if you must know.) However, there was the screen with pics of all of the players who are injured, and he talked about a couple, and then got all excited and circled Lilja and started talking about him. Ken didn't have anything to say. He didn't agree or argue. They never brought it up again. I hope that this isn't the case, but I've noticed Mickey forgetting things. Ken usually corrects him and allows him to regain his composure with good grace, but still, if I remember things from Wings history that Mickey doesn't, perhaps our dear old Mickey is feeling his age. He's had a very hard time health-wise lately, and when one reaches a certain age, that can have an effect on mental functioning. I hope this isn't the case, and I'd much rather that he let the cat out of the bag before medical staff informed Holland, but I fear we may be saying good-bye to Mickey at some point in the not-so-distant future, at least in the booth.

Maybe they sacrificed tonight's game. Ouch.
