Constantly. Usually 2 or 3 at a time. I have a very crowded head. Sometimes it drives me batty and makes it hard to think, but that's just how I am. (Currently in my head: Need You Now, You're 16, Lady Madonna, Watermark, Cowgirls Don't Cry. Topics in my head include: housecleaning, Haiti, creation vs evolution, Lilja's concussion, a friend's injury- not serious, Caps game, New Orleans vs Vikings, my bf's new beard, what to do Sunday night, Sunday School project, my roof, the weather, and other things that pop in randomly.) The person below me has the ability to clear their mind and focus on one thing at a time.

Bullwinkle. And I agree with the hidden adult humour, BTW. Discuss issues where the participants have polar opposite opinions in topics that have no effect on daily life, or just move on to a new topic?

I'm impressed. He does have a talent for debate. I just didn't see him as the lawyer type. I usually think seriousness and all-work-no-play types when I think of lawyers, or smarmy types like Bettman. Hey! Bettman's a lawyer; maybe we can get GMR to replace him. Or better yet, Grimson!

That would be creepy going in to write out your will and having the Grim Reaper there.

New World Symphony- Antonin Dvorak

f***. One can always substitute s*** with crap, but it doesn't come out quite the same to yell copulate. As a pet: Mammal, bird, or reptile?
-
I knew that Grim was a lawyer, but I am sitting here in stunned bewilderment wondering if I am understanding correctly that GMR is one also. Can it be?

Please win, Wings. And don't get hurt.

Depends on the water. They quit carrying Propel berry around here, and that was the one I liked. Peach or Nectarine?

Not yet. It's almost touching my butt. I am thinking about trimming the bottom, though. The person below me has hair longer than mine.

Matt Cullen brought the Cup to Fargo-Moorhead (he's from Moorhead, but we're twin cities) after the Canes won it, but I didn't go. I figured that I only wanted to see it in the hands of a Wing. I regretted that afterwards when I realized that the only way I'd see the Cup was to go to MI or the HHOF. Stupid move by me.

Pavel and Bert were both beautiful there. I wish it had been a win, but it was still a sight to behold.

I hate ties, but I also hate the extra point. Ideally, I'd like to see them play until someone wins. Unfortunately, if we want to be on TV, we have to fit the games into their schedules, which means no really, really long games during the regular season. My fix: Regulation, or OT: 2 points for a win; 0 for a loss. Shootout: 1.5 points for a win; 0.5 for a loss. If I had an ounce of mathematical sense in my head, I'd go with: Regulation: 2 for a win; 0 for a loss. OT: 1.5 for a win; 0.5 for a loss. Shootout: 1.25 for a win; 0.75 for a loss with 3 rounds of shooters and deduct 0.05 from the winner and add it to the loser for each round after 3 in the shootout. Yes, the last part was a joke.

Instead of Overeacting educate yourself on the Facts of Ott's Goal

^Opie, I agree with absolutely every word that you said.^ However, the fact remains that there is a shootout, we didn't get it done in regulation, overtime or the first rounds of the shootout. Dallas did not win the game. The refs gave them a win on a play that decided the game. Had Ott scored a legitimate goal, I would have been disappointed, but I would have gotten over it. (see Det vs Chi 1/17). The game was won and lost by a bad call, not by the players. Bad calls happen. Refs are human. This call should have been rectified. There was no reason that they could not have gotten it right. That's where my anger comes from. Maybe they need the refs to look at the replays, decide on a call, then call TO. If the refs can not agree, they need to tell TO that they can't decide and have TO make a decision rather than having to provide conclusive evidence against. -
No. I don't peek when others are bathing. (serious answer: no) The person below me is just waking up.

I can handle losing when it is not due to ref incompetence (see today vs Chicago). I don't like it, and I feel sad, deflated, etc., but I don't want to break things and add names to my list of refs to watch. The Dallas game was poorly officiated all the way through, but the last call cost us the game. Sure, we could have cost it for ourselves in later rounds, but it didn't happen. The loss was given to us by the refs. Dallas didn't have to earn the win. That's key for me. -
Thank Goodness this game is on NBC. I can't be home, but I can tape it. Wings win this one. Wings 5: Bert with the curlies; two dimes fall out of Niemi's pocket and Kane rushes in after them forgetting that he has the puck; Helm with the EN. Hawks 1: Byfuglien Edit for spelling.

Since we're being such Debbie Downers, how about... April on the Tee
-
Ah, I see what you're saying now. Thank you. Unfortunately, the intent to blow would overrule it anyway. All the ref would have to do is come up with a lame "I saw a penalty and was just about to call it" excuse. As he's looking at the replays, he could spot something that would pass.
-
The only problem I could see, if I'm understanding you correctly, is that the puck has to completely be over the goal line. I can see how it would detect when it reached it, but not if it was completely over it. I'm not very bright, though. So you may be on to something. The War Room would have nothing to fear. They still have intent to blow.

Leftwinger was right. We do all bleed red in the end. And the officials are the ones rupturing our personal exit holes. Slogan for the year: f*** YOU! WE'RE GONNA WIN IT!
-
Maybe this will get us fired up for tomorrow? I hope. Someone throw a couple of dimes on the ice as far away from Howard as possible. At least Kane will be out of the play.
-
Ok, so my feed went out during all of this. Could someone tell me the name of the man that needs to be castrated called Ott's shot a valid goal? Thank you.
-
Jimmy Carter? Jimmy Dean? Jimmy Jones? I'd say a long time. If he keeps playing well, I don't care if his name is Smedley Mordacai Peepinpfeffer. Keep him going.

They should have sent Barch in to sit on Howard's lap. Then it would have been conclusively a goal to the officials.
