    This or That

I'll go with accuracy. Moderate work for the whole shift, or easy work for most of it with occasional bursts of hard work?

    The person below me game...

I always answer except when I have no clue what to answer. The person below me sometimes is stymied for an answer.

    SCHEDULE for 2009-2010

Yikes! That Vancouver schedule stinks! Granted the Olympics break up the road trip, but still 8 games before and 6 games after. Wow. Sucks to be Canuck fans. I think that readjusting to the time change is the hard part about the Sweden trip, not the number of hours in the plane. I don't know as I've never travelled that far, but from what I hear it takes a bit to re-acclimate.

    SCHEDULE for 2009-2010

Hmm... Start (other than the SE games) and end against Chicago. After the long road trips, we face Bos, Car and SJ. At least the Bos one is 3 days after we get back; the others are 2 days. New Years' Eve vs Colorado. That should be fun. October 2nd can't come soon enough!

    Bettman's Salary.....

The cost of shoe lifts also rose 27% since 2008. Coincidence? I think not.

Ok, I'm not Ironman. I haven't had a bubble bath in years. My pet is named after the hot man over here. <--------- The person below me loves their job.

Um... pimple, I guess. Flower garden or potted plants?

    The person below me game...

Nope. I me some Kronner, and love Murph as well. The person below me likes to make up wild and weird scenarios when they are bored.

    This or That

Hmm, tough one. I'd say the game, just because I love the game of hockey. Paper cut on the knuckle of your finger on your dominant hand, or biting your lip all the way through and then doing it again 4 times in the same meal because it had swollen so much. (Bad day here)

The "Who Will You Miss Most Next Year" Poll

Oh, Zion. You call them sellouts, but your sig asks them to leave. You don't know your own power. Right about now, the way things are going in Chicago, I'm missing Scotty Bowman.

    Who do we target now?

I'm not at all familiar with Oulahan, other than that he is a Griffin. Does anyone know about him? Even with him, assuming we don't get Huds back, we still need a spare. Do we trust just Meech, or do we have him as a spare D and a spare-to-the-spare forward?

    The person below me game...

Oh, yes, I've seen quite a few. Like this one. The person below me is sometimes doing something at work or whatever and thinks "wow, that would be a great thing to put in the 'the person below me' game."

    This or That

Lousy at both. What passes for good is beyond me. Now if music had been a choice... I guess I'll say art because you can look at a painting that you don't want to look at a lot faster than you can read a book you don't want to read. Spaghetti with meat balls, meat sauce, or tomato sauce.

    Landon Wilson

The charge of xenophobic I understand (although I question the term-not your use of it, but the way society uses it. Phobia indicates fear of, not hatred of, but I digress)... How does not wanting a "puss" make him homophobic (same argument as I stated above with the "phobic")? A *** man can be tough, and a straight man can be a total wuss. To equate toughness with sexual orientation is, um...genderist? Heteroist? Homoist? (Ew, if you look at that wrong, it looks like Ho moist. Ick.) At any rate, there's a huge difference between a man who acts like a ninny and one who prefers men. Maybe *** men are ninnies at a higher rate than straight men, but there are plenty of straight Nancy-boys out there. Overall, I think he was being sarcastic.

    The person below me game...

Not a chance. I sing along with the radio, and I can't concentrate on other things when there's sound in the background that has words (as opposed to the furnace or fridge running or something like that). The person below me has spent a few mindless hours watching some marathon of old shows. (I wasted 4 hours today on Hogan's Heros.)

Plastic. Paper is harder to handle. Plastic are good to re-use as lunch or garbage bags and if I keep the old lunch bags in my locker, I can re-use them as ice bags. Then they can go back to the store (except the ones used as garbage bags) and get recycled. Paper ones just fall apart. Watermelon or cantaloupe?

NHL asks IIHF, KHL to negate Hudler's KHL Contract

If we lose Huds, and if Lilja is healthy, and if we play Meech as a forward, and if Abby stays up, then we have enough bodies to fill a 21-man roster. Whether or not it is the best team we can ice is the big question. Meech as a forward does not make me feel confident at all. At the very least, we need another forward. It would be nice to get two, but the cap will probably prevent that unless we get 2 guys for minimum or near that. Forwards: Cleary, Hank, Dats, Homer, Leino, Helm, Drapes, Malts, Abby, Flip, Mule, Meech (12) D-men: Raf, Lids, Kronner, Lilja, Stuie, E, Lebda (7) Goalies: Ozzie, JHo (2) Holland has said he is looking to move a d-man after camp. If Lilja is healthy, that is sure to happen. If not, and Lilja can remain on LTIR, then they may not be able to trade one. The Hudler situation is killing us in 2 ways: We can't go out and sign someone until we know what we have for cap space, and we don't know how many people we're going to need. The Hudler situation coupled with the Lilja situation makes this a nightmare for Kenny.

The "Who Will You Miss Most Next Year" Poll

I voted for Sammy. Clutch when you needed him. Not many guys can be Hero and Whipping Boy at the same time. In my heart, I will miss Mac the most, but we didn't see enough of him this year to have him be the biggest loss. Same goes for Downey. Had they spent the whole season playing with the Wings, I would have had a hard time choosing. Will miss Cheli, Conks and Huds as well. Will miss Hossa's play, and picking on Kokopuffs.

NHL asks IIHF, KHL to negate Hudler's KHL Contract

Now, Beth. You're talking sense. Stop it. Hudler wants to play in Det, but knows we can't afford him. The KHL can. He files for arbitration to keep other teams away whilst he makes his decision. He makes it and is ready to go. Unfortunately, the NHL files its grievance. Now we're handcuffed until this whole thing gets sorted out. We can't just say bye-bye, but we can't count on him. What a mess.

    Datsyuk up for an ESPY

I get that opportunity when I'm one-on-one with them. I've made some great friends and learned a lot about different countries and cultures. What I meant by the above is that I don't care if others are speaking other languages around me. There are just too many languages to learn them all. We stagger breaks, so I go with different people on different days. Sometimes it's English speakers, sometimes not. If it's not, then I just hang out on my own. If people want to speak their own languages, that's fine. On the other hand, when I'm at my weekend job, it's necessary for me to understand people. I can read a bit of Spanish, but I don't understand it at all. I don't speak Farzi, Arabic, Sudani, Somalian, Vietnamese, or any of the other languages my customers speak, nor is it possible for me to learn them all. Keeping culture and language is great, and it's like having a world reference library surrounding you. But if we are going to function as a society, we need to communicate. I have been screamed at in many languages because I didn't speak their language and they didn't know English. I give it my best shot, but when someone comes in and out of the blue says "Fuggeez" with no explanation, and just keeps saying that one word over and over, banging on the counter for effect, I need an interpreter. BTW, he was asking directions to Fergas Falls, MN.

    The person below me game...

I am a Star Wars geek- that's why I loved it. The only thing I got this weekend that I didn't need was a headache, which wasn't cool. The person below me is finding it hard to find intelligent things to talk about until this whole Hudler situation is settled.
