The prize is that he will now also be sought after by fans of other teams. But he was ours first. All ours. (maestro- cue the music in a minor key)

Congratulations! Did you get to skate around the internet with a cup or did you just run around your kitchen or something? Whatever you did to celebrate, I hope you enjoyed every moment!* *Note from our legal department: It is assumed that since Flashy is an upstanding guy that no living or dead animals, people, or houseplants were harmed in the execution of the celebratory moves, nor was any property vandalized or damaged, intentionally or unintentionally, other than his liver.

NHL Trivia: Players locked out in both 1994 and 2004

I'm half-way there. If I can ever spell Joe, I'll be invincible. (As I was typing this, I typed Jow instead of Joe. I'm in more trouble than I thought.) -

That one was tough. When the answers appeared, I found myself thinking, "Wow, he's that old?" a lot. I guess that means that I'm old if I find them to be young. One of these days I will be able to spell Robitaille under pressure. I can do it now, but when the clock's running, forget it! -
I love the sporkle quizzes. I do the periodic table ones just to keep my mind refreshed. The problem is that I'm still convinced the Yzerminium is an element.

Wow. I got three right away, and then started typing in names and still only got three more. It didn't help that I misspelled Shanny. I must have typoed it without realizing it and didn't correct it. That would have brought me up to seven right. I have to admit though, I was going for fighters. Fun quiz. Thanks for posting it. EDIT: I should mention that I'm really bad at Quiz Brain Freeze. I can think a lot better when the clock isn't ticking.

My mama told me to stay away from places where creepy people hang out. If I went there, you'd have my vote because you're awesome. Now I just have to hope mama doesn't find out I'm hanging out here... (kidding, people. kidding)

Kyle. We need defensemen. Canada day, 4th of July, or Cinco de Mayo?

Well...at least we're not Philadelphia. Giroux Arrested.

You win. Mmmm... back bacon, eh. -
Soccer. Um, that's the game where they kind of play like hockey with a basketball, right? Never heard of it. Actually, I don't know any soccer fans, so I don't have to hear about it except in the news so that isn't a big deal because I can scroll by it. The person below me is happy that Patrick Eaves managed to find a new team and wishes him well with the Stars except when they play against us.

He's committed to be a Wolverine. They said he's Helm with hands. If so, I think that would be very nice.

The world cup? Isn't that like sailing or something? The person below me changes their own oil.

That would be awesome, but Lids had such natural hockey sense and ice vision that I don't know if someone with that great natural talent could coach it. Still, if he wanted to return to the US, I'd be tickled to have him do it.

I like Tootoo. I hope he finds a place somewhere. Wherever it is, I'll become a fan. Or at least a follower. Because, you know, if it was like the Ducks or something, that would be just gross. Fare thee well, old friend. I really don't see the argument that they have to use the buyout on Toots or they'll lose the buyout. I can see them buying him out to get him off the roster and have his (relatively small) pay available for someone else. I just hope that Someone Else is willing to stand up and fight.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? <shakes head> I like Sunshine. I hope he finds a place where he's happy and employed.

No, it's "If you love something, set it free. If it returns to you, you're in love with a boomerang." Cheap Cleary in GR would be ok. Keeping the promise to "take care of him" by giving him a desk or scouting job would be better. He's a good image man for the team and provides leadership, but those things can be provided without taking up a roster space.

If the Avs draft Griffin McCarty, I'm checking myself in to asylum.

Two thousand fourteen. The whole "twenty" thing sounds odd. They didn't call it "twenty hundred" or "twenty oh one". They never did this "twenty" thing until two thousand ten. I had a decade of hearing "two thousand". The sudden change to "twenty" is jarring. You know a secret (i.e. the gender of your friend's baby): Pretend you don't know anything or have fun with it?

Amazing to think that there is a whole generation that doesn't remember life without a recent Cup.

Oh, my! You went to 6 Flags?!?!? kidding Hope you had fun at Disney. Some of my cousins take their kids there regularly.

In Michigan? (Wow, you even look good drunk. You'd make a good cabana boy.)

Ford. Beef, chicken, pork, or tofu?

Inventor looks to drastically shorten ice resurfacing time
55fan replied to vladdy16's topic in General
I wonder if the Zamboni got negative reception when it was introduced as it was not "iconic" at that time. If it is economical and functions well, use it. It won't change the intermissions other than that they'll be using a different technology to resurface the ice. -
Hard to say. I did graveyards for almost 30 years, and now I do 2 graves and 3 mornings. I'm not sure which I like better. Just don't have me do afternoon/evenings. That messes with my hockey-watching. Cassettes, CD, 8-track, vinyl, or whatever new thing they've come up with?

Some kids and all dogs. Date younger than you are or older?
