Living in an area far from Detroit, people see Wings gear and assume bandwagon. That's their insult against the Wings- that since they've been winning, they have fans. They assume that if the Wings stop winning that all the fans will turn. My response is simple. I've been a Lions fan for 42 years. That shuts them right up.

Hmm, he's Swedish...mindfly under cover? Seriously, if I was a player, this is the last place I'd go. Imagine idiots from all over the world talking like they know how to do your job and your friends jobs and your boss's job better than you do. Wouldn't you avoid the place?

Has anyone mentioned Abrakadabra yet?

thus far, Ozzie. check with me later if Cleary keeps up his streak.
-
Nope never heard of it. You can only hear it in one place, and the sign said you have to have a membership card to get inside. The person below me has spare batteries somewhere in their house.

OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE! Not original, but meant with all my heart.

<swoon> That was pretty nice. They got all of his goals in, and some pretty darn good hits too. Probably the best haircut I've seen on him, and clean-shaven as well. I'd give it a 9.

I think it's "that one guy that played for a college or something in Michigan or somewhere and then got picked up by the Wings at the last minute last year". A bit wordy, but it fits. I've used Kader. I really liked Darth Kader the best, but Kader is easier to type since my name is Karen and I know where almost all of the letters are.

Sorry. I've never been to Detroit or Kalamazoo, nor do I fish. (SWF - have you really never been to a garage sale?) The person below me would be just as irritated as I am by the sign I saw today. It said: PEDESTRIANS WATCH FOR TURNING VEHICLES I say no, they do not, hence the need for the sign.

square transubstantiation, representation, or real presence?

That's actually a very sweet story. I played with dolls too to keep my little sisters occupied when I was babysitting. No shame there.

Which of These Players Will be the Next to Score a Goal?

I trust my next goal to Pavel. You should too. -
A solid effort will equal victory.

Your baby's room sounds like it's going to be really cute!

newtons- not so much the fig, but the raspberry ones. Czech Republic or Slovakia?

How can it possibly get more eventful? Ok, maybe I'm just dull, but this is the bright spot of my day. (BTW, Loo- it's been the low 40s at night, so I exagerated a wee bit.) The person below me likes to go garage saleing.

Agreement with the sentiment. Just a small correction. Datsyuk scored against Columbus. It was the game where Ozzie got the shutout. Raffy, Dats, Hank, Huddie. I think that was game 2. Hossa also had 2 goals in the last game against Columbus. I'm not sure if you just weren't counting them as you did specify "2 goals against the Ducks" or if you had missed them. They were important goals, though. Hank had a goal in one of the losses that kept us from being shut out. He has had more goals that weren't EN than that were, and as far as EN goals go- I'll take them. Nothing like a little extra insurance. What you said about them drawing the other team's best and leaving the rest of our guys to play is spot on. If the Blackhawks start focusing on Cleary, Huds, and Mule like they've been focusing on Hank, Dats, and Hossa we're going to see the latter 3 scoring as much as the former, if not moreso.

I've been using the same clock radio for the last 15 or so years. I like the beepbeep rather than waking up to someone talking or singing at me, but I do like having the snooze feature. Feather or foam pillows?

Agreed. Pre-lockout days, I consider "buying a cup" to be equal to "having enough faith in the team to invest in it".

Report: Patrick Roy offered Avs' Head Coaching Position
55fan replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Well, the GM spot is still open as far as I know. Maybe Tony will defy gravity and roll uphill. I don't know why I'm finding this so funny, but in a way, I'm glad for this. The potential for humour is so there. -
Right if you're facing north. Geraniums or begonias?

I always have a funny face. I am not so much overdue on calling someone as writing. My old roommate gets out of prison in June, and then I always lose track of her, so I had better get to writing to her one last time until next time. The person below me is easily distracted when they are...ooh, I left my flower pot outside and it's almost below freezing out. Gotta go get it in.

What's funny is that NBC is channel 11 here, and they had a promo where they have people from around the Red River Valley doing that. I didn't think anything of it at first. I just mentally equate it with NBC. Once I realized that I was one of the few seeing the game on channel 11, I thought it was cool. Danny Cleary lived up to his number today. He was #1 twice.

Dude. You are an embarassment to the Great State of ND, Hasek fans, and intelligent people everywhere. As for the original topic, I don't get too wrapped up in things like this because every rule has an exception. Just because it has been so in the past doesn't mean it will continue. I have faith in the Wings this year because of how they are playing and the potential they have compared to the Blackhawks. Besides, Burish touched an octopus. That's the reason we'll win this series.

Very few words are as scary as "cancer". Good to hear that she is expected to recover. A positive attitude can do wonders, as can support from family and friends. Good to hear that she has this. This sort of thing transcends teams and games. Best wishes to Julie and her family.
