In live action, it looked painful. I thought he'd get a penalty, but was surprised that it was a game until I saw replays (repeatedly). The worst part for the team was that they lost composure once their leader was gone. CR scored twice on that PP, and it wasn't until after the 2nd intermission that the US looked like they had their heads back out of their straps. Once Kronner got the A, he scaled back a bit on his hits (having been injured a lot over the years and just plain getting older might have been a factor there too). With Abby wearing the C, he needed to be more careful. On the other hand, it was up to him to set the bar for the team and lead them, which I think is what he was trying to do. He's no Claude Lemieux. He's just a guy who made an error in judgment. I hope he doesn't get suspended, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I like Miller, and if we didn't have Jimmy, I'd take him while we wait for Mrazek, but both Miller and Jimmy would be too spendy. I'd just like Miller and Hiller to end up somewhere together just because they rhyme. Miller, please go to Minnesota if Harding and the other half dozen or so goalies they've killed this year aren't back.

Good for him. He won't be pushing Hank for long, but eventually Hank, Pavel, and Kronner will retire <pauses for people to regain composure>. Given that they are all near the same age, it can't hurt to have someone young getting some extra experience. I'm not saying that Abby will be getting an A soon, but they did kind of train this group in by having them rotate the A with Draper. It could happen a few years down the road that they give someone that chance. This can only help Abby's chances of being chosen.

Apparently doing neither one well. My guess was climbing up on to it, but it's hard to tell. If anyone can translate the interview video, that might help.

Legally (which is the only type of conversation allowed on this site so they won't press charges against Matt), your best option is Centre Ice. The bad part about it is that if a game is available in your area, you are blacked out. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe that this means that you would be blacked out for any games on FSD if you live in the Detroit area. I did try it during the half-season following the lockout, and was blacked out for Wild games since I'm in the FSN area, which sucked if FSN decided to show the Twins or T-wolves or something stupid like that. You're also blacked out for anything NBC-related and anything on NHLN, which really sucked for me since I can't get NHLN and don't have an expensive enough package for NBCSNBS. If you have a fancy phone, you can go that route and I think you get games regardless of where you live, albeit on a teensy screen. They kind of have you over a barrel for legal viewing. Bastards.
