GDT ADQF | Game 3 | Boston 3 @ Detroit 0, BOS leads series 2-1

The guy keeps saying that he's going to clean up his game. People keep giving him another chance. Minnesota (both the team and the fans) welcomed him and gave him a chance to start fresh. Now this crap again. Banbanbanbanbanban until he gets it.

Zdeno. Much easier to make jokes about. Frog or toad?

I'm staring you down for a few more minutes so you won't see Lucic sneaking up behind you.

Ironic that we're all siting here talking for seven pages in public about something we keep referring to as "privates". Poor Danny.

$2.50 per jewel. Not bad.

This is why you have a guy like Tootoo on the team. Will he win a fight? Maybe. Maybe not. Will he fight? You bet he will. Will he get suspended? Yeah, but it doesn't take him away for any more time than he'd have been up anyway. Take a collection in the locker room to pay the fine and turn him loose.

My bad. Wrong thread. Um... Go Wings! -
We don't have scratch-offs in ND, but we have lottery. The most I've won is $100, which pretty much covers the cost of the tickets for a year since I play twice a week. The person below me has been in an earthquake.

It's a thing we did here in 2008. You make a red bracelet for every win and a white one for every loss. You don't take them off until the Wings are out of the playoffs or until the parade down Woodward. You can personalize them in any way you want. I do beads with the initials of each player who scores a goal for that game. Unfortunately, I seem to have deleted all of my pictures from the past. It had a bit of a following that year and the next, but most of the gals who did it are no longer around here. Here's the link for the second year that we did it, in case anyone wants to play along. There was a bit of bother because it all started as something that those of us who can't grow beards were doing, and those who could grow them took exception, but we got that resolved. http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/topic/56806-ladies-alternative-to-playoff-beard/?hl=bracelets -

Nonsense! This is the playoffs! Time for everyone to put on their Big Girl Panties and do their job. Now get out there and PAT SOME BUTTS! -

Pledge made for money on the board? Check. Thread and beads sorted and ready for bracelets by the chair? Check. Unlucky purple underwear banished to the bottom of the drawer? Check. Wallpaper set to the last Wing to score a goal? Check. I'm ready. LET THE GAMES BEGIN! -
Thanks for sharing that. The link about Lidstrom within the article is also a good read.

Pretty good for a hockey player. As for Rask, I didn't know there were Amish leprechauns.

I'd give Deke props for his season but not MVP. I like him more every time I see him play. He has a great future. I quoted this part of your conversation because "the goth kid of hockey" blew my mind. That would be awesome to have a team of goth kids. With gothic mullets.

I shop there a lot. It's kind of out of my way, so I do my grocery shopping closer to home, but I'll do it at Walmart if I need other stuff that you can't buy in a grocery store. It's also the only place I can find clothes that fit without spending an arm and a leg. The person below me has toured an alcohol-producing establishment.

Preds Allowed 0 SH Goals in 82 Game Season

That is amazing. Congrats on making history. -
I probably ought to be in bed. I'm tired enough. I just can't get motivated. The person below me prefers to grocery shop during off-hours.

Going with the hamsters again. $1 for a goal by any current Wing after whom I have named a hamster. An additional $5 for a series-clinching goal scored by any current Wing after whom I have named a hamster. $5 if the other team fails to score against a current Wing goalie after whom I have named a hamster. Hamsters I have had: (current Wings highlighted) Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik Niklas Matthew Daniel Robert Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan Andrew Patrick Ian Todd Jordin Damien Gustav James And now, I'm off for my other playoff traditions: Get the beads ready for the bracelets, and set my wallpaper to the last Wing to score a goal after each game. EDIT: Forgot to say thanks for doing this. It's fun for us as well, and awesome that it's going to a good cause!

I went with Nyquist. Nev and Shaman's posts were very interesting and spot on, and I haven't read too much here that I actually disagree with, but for me, Nyquist has given the team the emotional boost that it needed when Pav and Z went down. Kronner held them together as a team, and the Kid Line provided some much-needed spark, but without Nyquist, I think the season would have just folded. It would have been easy to look at our injuries and feel that we had no one to lead us to the playoffs. It took a group effort to hang in there. Nyquist did what Z was doing (on-ice) at the beginning of the season, but when Z was out there doing it, he was doing it as the captain of a team that was struggling through some injuries. When Nyquist did it, he was doing it as a kid whose captain was out. It doesn't diminish how important Z is to the team as the captain to say that he was doing what was expected as a captain, but when someone comes up from the minors and does it, that serves as inspiration for the rest of the team, and hopefully motivates the veterans to get going and the other youngsters to step up into a larger role.

He wasn't right after that hit. He wasn't holding the puck in like he usually does. Even I was speaking to the screen, and I'm a fan of his. Aside from that, he's awesome. He's a leader. Even if he isn't Kronwalling like he did back in the day, his game is growing. He plays intelligently. He's deserving of an appreciation thread.
