The final score will be 6-1. That is all I'm predicting.
-
Absolutly, positively, most definately...maybe. What's O'Doyle's? The person below me pretended their bicycle was a horse when they were kids.
-
Can't say as I watch them, but when I have seen them, I've been impressed. The person below me is just getting up.

With the Preds as a potential playoff adversary, I think whoever Babs plays Sunday will be what he will play in the playoffs. That said, if the Wings blow this one, I'm going to stick my fingers in my ears, and say, "la la la, la la la, they're just giving them a false sense of security, la la la, la la la" and no amount of intelligence and reason will sway me from my delusions.

But in many cases it was true. Lang was the top scorer for the Habs before he was injured. Quincey would have been in the press box half of the time with us. Sure there are times when a player was on the down side of his career when he left, and hasn't come back to bite us in the butt. Also, some guys are let go as they are coming into their own (see Quincey and JoeyMac). They look better against us than they did for us because they have become better than they were when they played for us. I dread the loss of Hossa or Franzen this summer. Even if they part as friends, they still know our system and our players very, very well.

This has merit, and is probably the best difinitive answer, but I wouldn't rule out that bit of "they didn't want me- I'll show them" mentality. If the player had to leave because he "wasn't good enough", he has something to prove. If the player left because "something better came along", he has to prove he was better. If a player left due to some sort of contract or other dispute, he has to prove he would have been worth whatever his demands had been. Even if there was no animosity, the player is still playing with guys he played with and practiced with (and against), so he knows them and how they play better than someone who has just watched video or played against them a few times a year. Not to mention the competitive nature of guys. They usually turn it up an extra notch when playing against friends and enemies. Usually a former player is friends with most and maybe an enemy to a few. And then there's karma...

I don't buy clothes unless we're talking underwear or something I really need. Everyone gives me clothes for Christmas and birthday. The person below me eats corn on the cob from left to right, one row at a time, like a typewriter.

It's possible, but who knows after last night? The person below me trusts the news.
-
Scary. I was just thinking that. Of course, we're at home, so I doubt it, but I did think it.
-
I need a hero!
-
Howzabout a shortie now?
-
Hey! I picked Maltby too! Desktop activated. Go Malts!
-
Mine were far less polite. Maybe having a bad game, but hang' em up? Please.
-
It's Bettman's fault. If it weren't for this "parity" thing we could get the league's best d-man and 3 of the best forwards ... oh, wait.
-
Wasn't someone saying in the first that we should just spot them 2 goals so we could start playing for real? Guess what, boys. It's for real NOW!
-
Kopecky. I'm calling on Maltby to be the hero tonight.
-
Pick out the orange ones first. So, we're down by 2 goals. We have over a full period to play. Who's worried? Not me. Just so long as Joey doesn't get a SHUTOUT. Drat. Had to edit.

sixer has a NTC.
-
PETA would protect you from me if we met.
-
Not so loud. Ozzie has super hearing. We don't want to confuse him. Oops, Nevermind.
-
A little Z goes a long way. Hopefully all the way to a Michigan Arby's...
-
You're good. The person below me knew what DMB meant.
-
We need a little more Z, and a lot less zzzzzz.
-
Sharks fans will be ok.

Is Joey in goal? If so, I hate to root against him, so I'll just hope that the multitude of goals scored on him will be screened ones where he had no chance, or defensive lapses, or something like that.
