On the Sunny Side of the Street- many people including Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and a bunch more.

The alligator is similar to the crocodile, but having a shorter and flatter head. They are also known to be extremely dangerous. (Ten points for you if you get the reference.) The person below me was able to go without a coat today.

Selanne Getzlaf (yes, I'm serious) Kopitar Lecavalier Jagr (I got the moves like Jagr) Hossa Miller (Ryan) Joey Mac Luongo Bryzgalov Harding Cullen Eaves Brunner Parros Marleau Filppula Thinking through this, I'm amazed at how many of my faves have retired.

I'm losing an hour of work when I really need to have the whole 8 hours (which will turn into 9 anyway, so I guess losing an hour evens things out) to get the work done. The person below me has seen a real, live wallaby.

I'm going to let the Wings in on a little secret: If you have more goals than the other team after the 3rd period, you don't have to play any more that night. You get two points right then and you can go and shower and that's it. Try it tonight and see for yourselves!

I wouldn't go so far as to say "hate", but I would never choose it for a wardrobe colour. It doesn't go well with my colouring. Some people can wear it and look good if it's the darker "burnt" orange we're talking about. My couch has some orange in it, but it's almost 40 years old, so it's part of the whole "earth tone" craze of the '70's. The person below me has never been to Boston in the fall.

I'm sad that we lost Patty Sunshine, but I think Legwand is what we need now. The person below me has recently eaten a favorite cereal from their childhood just because they hadn't eaten it for years and will now tell us the name of that cereal.

Here's another link. I hope he gets through this all right. Prayers for him and his family and friends. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatoon/whl-star-tim-bozon-critically-ill-with-meningitis-family-says-1.2561373

I'd rather make the playoffs. You can't win the cup if you don't make the playoffs. It's a small but important step.

Stress? No. Not really. My doctor says I have a high tolerance for pain, but mentally I'm a marshmallow. The person below me reads their horoscope daily.

I don't even wear socks when I'm not in bed. The person below me everything they need in life.

I just want the Senators to be sponsored by Trojan condoms. I realize that there's a difference but that guy could easily pass for Trojan Man.

We're above zero (finally!), so that's cool (as opposed to frigid). We've truly been putting the "coat" in "Dakota" this winter. I just want to stay at home for the rest of the day, which is what I will do having dispensed with my obligations to the world for the moment. The person below me has made a wish on a falling star.

NHL players will not participate in 2018 Olympics (Mod Post #99)
55fan replied to DatsyukianDekes's topic in General
No doubt. People use the argument that it was more uplifting to watch those kids beat the world power in hockey than it is to watch NHL players to defend the removal of the NHL players. They say that the playing field is too even with pros involved. I disagree. It might be that way for the US, but there's always Latvia (or Norway or Slovenia or...) to come along and be the underdog. Even in the NHL teams aren't evenly-matched. There's always the Cinderella story to add the "human interest" element to the games. -
I'm allergic to tree nuts. This does not include peanuts, which are legumes. It's amazing how few people know that. It's even more amazing how many people will sit and argue with me about it. The person below me needs to get more sleep.

Call it Windsor. Then ask people for directions.

I totally agree with the comments about it being for Mule's protection, but at the time I thought that maybe the refs were sending a message that they weren't going to let things get out of control. The game was a blowout and no one could change that. You know Ottawa was frustrated. Oftentimes players let the frustration get the better of them and blow off steam on anyone handy. Clearly this wasn't the case with Neil- he was targeting Mule- but by throwing them both out, the refs were clear that they weren't going to allow anything else and the players had better think twice about starting anything. Probably some of each. YYMV on the ratio.

I'll give him a few more seasons before I say anything bad. He could be funny (in that low-key Canadian way) when he was a goalie being interviewed. The driver's seat has a different view than the passenger's- and a lot more responsibility. I just keep looking to see where his hair is pointing. For some reason, I expect something to be there. I miss my Murph, but Darren Elliot (who used to make me want to chew nails) has really grown on me.

Good news. Best wishes to him for continued recovery. -
Oh, heck, yeah! The person below me has heard of Emerald nuts.

Now that half of the team has learned to get something silver, let's end the season with them getting something silver. Go Wings! That journey starts today!

Thinking about getting a "DATS 13" vanity plate. Thoughts?
55fan replied to Legendary D In 03's topic in Water Cooler
Do it! I was surprised when I decided to go with a wing-related plate that all of my ideas were already taken in ND. If CA has that one available, go for it and ride with pride! -
I've stunned people by being the one who hasn't seen it. Actually, I do have a friend who has never seen Star Wars. That boggles the mind. The person below me likes bananas.

Maybe that's why he didn't get to go to Sochi. I thought he was an odd omission, but if they'd need to have a babysitter, it might not have been worth the trouble.
