I was going to say that sledding is for you young folks, but then I remembered that my aunt took her grandson sledding in the mountains this winter, and she'll be 84 in April. Quite the woman, my Aunt Marge. The person below me has ticklish feet.

I've been trying not to get too attached to Hossa. Just be happy with the one year and wish him well in the future. Just trying to save myself the heartache when he goes. I feel myself getting sucked in. We are happy when someone who has come up in the Wings like Hank and Pavel take nice discounts, but when someone comes in from the outside and is willing to do it, that just says a lot. It's getting harder and harder not to get my hopes up.

I'm on the Sammy bandwagon. The first game of the SCF, he had the puck, and I said to my friend who doesn't follow hockey, but invited me over because she got the channel they were on, "Don't give the puck to Sammy. He can't score." Then he scored. Then he got the puck again as I was telling my friend how bad Sammy is, and how that goal was a fluke. He scored again. I started actually noticing him. Before he had just been a blip on the ice as I was watching others. I am now a big fan of Sammy, and I hope we get him back next year, but I'm not holding my breath.

At my age, hockey fights are the only thing that fits that description.

You got that right! This old hag loves herself a good tussle. I think we're the "mom age". Nobody better mess with our boys, and if they do, they need to be taught a lesson. Mac did that with Claudette, and I'm eternally grateful. I do like the idea someone had of player-coach in GR when his time with the Wings is done. Imagine guys coming up that have been trained to actually drop the gloves! But whatever the future holds for Mac, no matter what he does or where he plays, God love him, I wish him the best.

You know what I like best about Pasha? He's OURS! All ours! They can't have him. We got him. Ours, I say, all ours! Our plot to take over the world is going smoothly.
