Aw, VD, the holiday that never stops giving. I'm going to give my hamster a special treat. Probably a yogurt chip. The person below me has never thrown their mashed potatoes up against a wall.

Turn Your Radio On- Ray Stevens

I probably should. I just scrawl notes on paper near the phone and leave them on the desk. The person below me counts on their fingers when adding.

After perusing LGW, Kronwall and Kopecky are hurt and angry. Kronwall gets a hat trick; Kopecky gets the GHHT. Wings win 5-0. (Kron x 3, Kopy, Draper with the ENG) Oh, make that 8-0. Pasha realizes Pat is there and gets a hattie for her too. EDIT: I just woke up, so if my counting and math is off, let me slide, ok? It was a late night last night.

Occasionally they take on a green tint, but only if I'm ready to spit nails. Otherwise they're a blue/grey combination- more blue when I'm happy or excited, more grey when I'm calm. The person below me has type O blood.

Mark Mowers- thanks, grsbmd, I was trying to remember him. I could picture him from that now-famous beach photo, but couldn't remember his name. Anyone want to bet that if we did this thread in a few years we'll be saying Mark Hartigan?

What with work, church, teaching Sunday school, and the Superbowl, it was a very busy weekend, but I got a good night's sleep and I'm now rarin' to go. The person below me is intimidated by helpful salespeople.

Great thread. Fun memories. I tend to forget that guys who are now coaching or have moved on to other areas of hockey were once players. Holland (as mentioned), Nill, and McCrimmon all played once, and Ted Nolan was once a Wings player. Yeah, I looked it up. I didn't really remember on my own. I really did forget he was a Red Wing.

Lebda has improved since the start of the season- enough that I now consider him to be good trade bait. I'd like to see it for draft picks. Bring up Big Jon. Kopy, bless his heart, has done nothing but provide a home for Hossa. Since Hossa is likely gone (I'd love to keep him, but I don't want to lose Mule/Hudler), I think we can say bye-bye to Kopy too. I believe that he will be scratched during the playoffs and we'll be seeing Helm/Leino playing with the big boys. Other than that, I don't see anyone going anywhere. The older ones will be allowed to retire gracefully, and may see some action in the playoffs, or may not depending on how well the GR boys impress. On a side note: I can't wait to see who actually does get playoff time. With all the GR guys and no cap space to worry about, it should be interesting to see what the lines/pairings look like.

Ouch. I'm still a Lang fan. I hope he recovers, and I wish him all the best.

Weehoo! I was at a Superbowl party yesterday hosted by a friend who is originally from MI, and she invitied me back tonight for this game since she has Versus and leftover Bacardi. Two predictions: 1) Wings win 2-0 (Kronner, Maltby). 2) If I am as keen on that Bacardi as last night, I'll spend the 4rd rooting for Paul Kariya. Yeah, I'm that bad on Bacardi, and I don't think I'm spelling it right either. Go Wings!!!

Dang, Kevvie- that's a hard one! Tunnel of Love- Bruce Springsteen

My Godson has a ton of legos at my house for when he visits. Some of them are mine from when I was a kid (40-year-old legos!). Usually he plays and I watch, but sometimes I build something too. The person below me amused their friends at a Superbowl party by re-enacting Lidstrom and Osgood's interpretation of "We're Bringing Sexy Back" as done on the Tonight Show last summer. (Please be someone else- it can't just have been me.)

Nope- I work weekends. Talk to me tomorrow after margarita Superbowl party this afternoon/evening. The person below me will eat some sort of snack food today.

I've liked Lilja for a while now. It started because of his shot blocking, and then when he started fighting, I liked him more. I'm glad to see that the rest of his game is improving. Not to mention, he is in the lead with the most points in the "Hottest Current Red Wing" contest, which is ever so important.

For once in my life, I do not believe that there is any outstanding messup on my part. Of course, believing that could be messing something up that I should be fixing... The person below me is pulling for the Steelers today just so that they can say "Well, at least those Pittsburgh folks won something this year." in a condescending tone.

At least we have St Louis coming up. That's the real test of whether or not we are in a slump. If we can't beat them, it's a slump.

Under normal circumstances, I like AO. These are not normal circumstances.

I still say Kopy would make good trade bait to anyone interested in Hossa. Treat him nice, and he'll put in a good word. Not that I don't want Hossa back- I really do- but that's for another thread.
