My bad. I was referring to the people who dropped in to say that they didn't want to read/discuss it any more. If they don't want to, that's fine. I can discuss it all day (and have for several). I was being sarcastic as they should have been able to tell by the title of the thread what it was about. I couldn't expect you to know that I was on the side of those who think this is a big pot of raw sewage. There are just too many of us here to keep us all straight, but I went on as though everyone was supposed to know what I thought. I didn't think about how it would look to you. I'm sorry about that. Yeah, as I said, I like Sid (except for the stupid things he has said, which I put down to youthful inexperience), and I only mentioned that I like him because I don't want people saying that I think this is crap because I'm a Crosby-hater, as has been implied elsewhere.

I still like Crosby. I don't like the situation; and I don't like what he said, but I still like him. There should have been a warning that this thread might have been about something people are tired of discussing so they would know they weren't required to read it.

I don't think you mean hypocracy, which means saying one thing and then doing another. I think you are wondering why we have conflicting stories. Perhaps the word you were looking for is inconsistancy? This is because the Stuart comments were made earlier when he thought that was the case, and the Babcock comments were made afterwards when the extent of the injuries was more clear. Stuart's injuries may not have gotten worse, but in light of them, there are several ways of dealing with them. One is to keep him on- day today and hope for the best. Another is to put him on LTIR and let some younger guys come up with the cap space that we're saving. Just so you know, hypocricy has negative connotations. If people don't know you're not a native English speaker, it may be construed as saying that they are lying, which is not the case. Not calling you out, just letting you know.

When I wrote that, rumour was a cap hit of 7-8 million. However, 12 years with a 6 million cap hit is a horse of a different colour. Apparently if you're young, you can snap back much more quickly and don't have to miss a game to prove that you were really injured, unless you prove you were really injured by scmoozing the media at the game and letting your replacement do your work on the ice whilst you inform the media that you are really injured unlike those who stay home getting medical care for their injuries, who are obviously faking it and therefore need to be punished. Wings Win. Run-on sentences are good luck.

As I'm sure everyone knows, we are dressing only 11 forwards tonight vs CBJ. Can anyone tell me why this is? Is it because of cap? I've heard we had enough saved that we could afford to call up a GR forward. Is it because of roster limit? We are currently at 23, but Mac is on LTIR (or has been gone long enough that he could be placed there). I had understood that players on LTIR do not count towards the 23. Am I wrong on this? Is it Holland's choice? Has he chosen to play short for one game to further conserve money? Is it something else that I have just missed? I've been all over this and I can't find any answer to my question. Any help is appreciated.

Oh, my bad! I meant have both men and women as slush sluts. I was thinking have both men and women on the ice, and I worded it to sound like I meant have them as players, which is what it really means to ice players. My typing skills must be excellent- their speed exceeds that of my brain.

Just an added thought: Since we were talking about charity work, the Wings Wives and Girlfriends do a lot of that. And a lot of them are hot. This doesn't really have any bearing on whether or not we should have the babes on ice. I just wanted to note that we do have hot chicks out there supporting the team and raising money for charities, and to give them props for doing so. Back to your discussion...

I would agree with the suspensions if it was a simple matter of no play=suspension, as was the original intent, although I think that was stupid too. Since it has been changed so now it forces the players to choose between getting medical care or attending, I do not agree with it. Either go with the original agreement, or scrap it for this year and clarify it for next year.

Nope- still waiting on one last document thingie. Also not sure how to proceed as I collected unemployment for the last 2 weeks of Dec. I'm sure there's something in the manual. I'm just waiting for the last form to get going on it. The person below me needs to get offline and clean their house, but isn't doing it.
