I was kidding, of course, but I agree that Pronger should have been in over Nieds. I would not argue with someone who could present a good case otherwise; that's just my take on them, and I don't follow the Ducks all that closely. With all the other questionable things about those rosters, that one honestly didn't enter my mind.

I wish Avery had been voted in. It just might have been the straw that broke the camel's back to show the league what a joke the fan voting is. To clarify: I don't wish for him to actually play, nor do I think he has the talent. I only wish it had happened to prove that point. Hearing Bettman weasel out of it would have been a bonus.

OK, I'm not up on the young folks' lingo here (still worry when someone says a player is "sick") so I'm not sure if "feelin' it" is cause for elation or concern, but we will indeed be OK. Go Wings!

They just wanted to make it fair to Columbus. Without Lilja, there will be fewer shots blocked and the BJ's won't be skating in fear of a beatdown. Aside from which, Hank will be playing and we can only have so much sexy on the ice or it will melt. Seriously, I don't like not having Lilja out there either, but I don't see it as being a big deal once in a while. I do wish he would be in for the more physical teams. Wings win 4-3 (would be 4-0 if the Shotblocking Machine were in the lineup). Hank, Kronner, Drapes, Huddie with the honours.

To those who acknowledged that Raf wasn't playing up to par and commented on it: I agree. He certainly has picked up his game and, as some have said, the whole team had some improvement to do, and most have. It's good to see him getting the recognition. He has been playing well as of late. To those who were panicking about his NTC because it meant that we couldn't ship him out at that moment, which meant the Wings were Doomed! Doomed, I say, Doomed! : I would like to take this opportunity to rub your nose in it. This does not apply to those who merely speculated that we might wish to trade him if he didn't come around. In any event, it's always worthy of a celebration when a Wing is honoured. Let us rejoice. It's as good an excuse as any for a party. Congratulations, Raf.
