We will complain right up until we have lost, in which case we will console each other; or until we have won, in which case we will cheer rabidly as though nothing was ever amiss. We have members here from Northern Canada to Australia. It stands to reason that, as a group, we're bi-polar.

My dad has a Wingnut hat. I don't look good in it, but I guess that's not a prerequisite for wearing one. The person below me will be having lutefisk some time during their Christmas festivities.

I didn't cook at all tonight, but it was as yummy as yummy can be. We had a ladies' shindig at church and the guys did the cooking. Dave has a chicken recipe that is to die for. He gave it to me last year, but mine is never as good as his. The person below me has done something stupid in the last 24 hours.

You mean with a person? No. With a certain hockey team, yes. Oh, and I love my hamster, Godson, parents, sisters and Sunday School kids too. The person below me keeps a dish of candy in the living room "for guests".

I lost it on the fifth one. That's as bad as Unique New York. The person below me has done a paint-by-number.

Yep, keeping the heat turned down to save money. I think I had it too cold. Nik didn't move when I gave him food, so I opened his cage, and he didn't move. I poked him, and we scared the daylights out of each other because we jumped so fast. He's fine, but if he's huddled up like that, maybe I need to keep him warmer. The person below me likes angel chimes. (I just found a box in my closet that I've had for years and didn't know it!)

I can only watch when I'm down at my parents'. Usually I have the GDT and the real ticker on to keep up. That is, unless I'm working, which won't interfere with my Wings watching after next week as I'm getting laid off. On the brighter side, I get to see them in person on 1/3! Dad got tickets, and we're road-tripping to the Twin Cities! Whee! The person below me prefers flavoured dental floss to plain.

I figured it out. It's all a mind game, and we've been sucked in just like they're trying to suck in the rest of the league. They know that being everyone's pick to win means everyone is gunning after you, so they're playing just hard enough to win, (with a few losses thrown in to make it look good) so that everyone will be thinking they've got the Cup Hangover, or whatever. Then, come the playoffs, we'll see the real Red Wings come in and play like they can. It's a ploy, I tell you! A ploy! Can't decide whether to not to add this because I might actually be right.

I don't mind wrapping, I'm just not good at it. The person below me has whittled.

No Hawiian anything. None of those things except for snow. I have snow. The person below me has had their butt kicked in a game by a 6-year-old.

I agree that this should be a playoff thing, but if you are determined (or just curious), perhaps this link will be of help. Octolink

Not any more, but at the time you posted your post, I was taking some Motrin to get rid of one. Add another psychic to the roster. The person below me puts their left shoe on first.

I kind of identified with Lucy. Linus once said that "big sisters are the crab grass on the lawn of life". My dad would quote that to my little sister when I was trying to make her do something that I would have gotten in trouble from mom had she not done it (like clean her room). The person below me can't figure out how Avery gets these girls in the first place.
-
I kind of feel bad for Kamensky- get a hattie, and no one notices.
-
I'm confused. How can this girl be "sloppy" seconds if she is with Phaneuf? Aren't douchebags supposed to get rid of the sloppiness issue?
-
Please help as I'm confused. If he's on a conditioning assignment, does he still count towards the cap? I know he (and other 35+ players) do if they're just sent down, but does that count for conditioning too? Also, is there a limit on the length of conditioning assignments? Sorry for my ignorance. I'm fiscally challenged.

No, I'm too far away, but I will be going to the Wild game on 1/5/09 thanks to my dad. The person below me liked the Harry Potter series.

Coyote will not catch Road Runner. It's a conspiracy. The person below me has thrown an octopus.

OK, I predicted 4-3, but in response to the post I've seen here (and totally enjoyed- thanks, people!) I'm changing my prediction. Wings win 6-0. Wings: Lilja x 3, Drapes (assisted by Lilja), Flip (assisted by Lilja), Kopy (assisted by Lilja). Lilja fights Pronger, Getzlaff, May. Wins all fights, of course. Sammy facewashes Perry, and has to answer to Parros. Parros trips on his mustache, and Sammy is credited with the win. Lilja with a triple Gordie Howe Hat Trick, and Sammy is named the new Team Enforcer.
-
Remember, folks: He's not done yet! I do see him ending up there in the end, and I'll be cheering.
-
I must say I'm a bit nervous since the Duckies are pretty tough. That said, if Lilja can remove (or at least reverse) Pronger's elbows early on, the Wings will take it, but it'll be close. I'm thinking Wings 4-3 Wings-each line gets one. Ducks-Selanne 2, and one bad deflection.

Snow= shoveling. I'll pass on that, thanks. The person below me knows how to knit.

I just looked at the schedule for Dec. We only have 4 away games (12, 13 and 26, 27). Compare that to our schedule thus far. We've been out west a couple of times, Florida, and a few short treks here and there. I think that being at home will give Babs more time to try other line combos in practice and to let the existing ones that he decides to keep gel a bit more with each other. They've been playing with a lot of travel time involved. I don't know about you, but when I travel, I get sluggish. Getting to the Joe, day after day, for practices will help build some of that consistency that we have been lacking. As for the D, I think they look tired, mentally and physically. They just aren't in sync. Ozzie and Conk will work it out. I'm not worried about them. We've seen good things from both this year. We've seen bad things too, of course. Don't get me wrong; they're not Hasek in his prime, but they're good. A bit more steady practice time at home, less travel, and some home games will do wonders for them. Fear not: We have Lilja.

Indeed I can. The person below me prefers honey-lemon flavoured cough drops.
